I wanted to record this for a while as a statement of appreciation and a response to how the term streetwear has been used to diminish. When Recho from The Cutting Room Floor called Noah a streetwear brand and the founder flinched, it reminded me how often brands resist the label. This episode highlights women’s streetwear, Snobette and Highsnobette, connects Virgil, Pharrell, and Chris Gibbs to the global rise of streetwear, with shoutouts to Sole DXB, SN3 Studio, and Streetsouk.
