We believe that studying the bible is essential to growth, maturity, and spiritual effectiveness in the life of a believer. The acronym E.F.A.P. helps us to read scripture in light of the Gospel and through the lens of Christ. When reading, is there something that reminds you of the person or work of Jesus and is an example to follow? Are there find roles, relationships, or characteristics ruined by sin that display Jesus as the true and better, fulfilling every promise and command? Do you see ways in which Christ traded places with us taking the punishment to atone for sin even though He did no wrong? How do you see Christ giving us his power as he invites us to partner with Him in ministry? Join us as we show you how to find Jesus as our Example, Fulfillment, Atonement, and Power throughout all of scripture. We continue in our Song of Songs series, this week focusing on conflict. Up until this point in the Songs, we've been in an almost Eden-like fantasy world where everything was perfect. However, each of us knows, relationships don't work like this! Conflict comes. This week the Lovers exit Eden and enter into the real world. When conflict does come, what does it look like to resolve it so that Eden-like intimacy can be experienced again? What are the tools, according to this Song, that are helpful? What are the dangers to look out for? Hosted on Ausha. See ausha.co/privacy-policy for more information.

This Sunday we continue in our Song of Songs series. This week we study the topic of intimacy. As the Lovers in the Song experience the joys of sex, we're often left wondering, how does this relate? An easy (cheap!) answer would be to say, "If you're married, have sex." This is true! But, there's so, so much more. This relates to everyone who has ever thought about sex, applies directly to us no matter our current relational stage, and ultimately highlights unbelievable things in our relationship with the Lord as we learn how to apply this vertically. In fact, this passage is a lot less about sex, and a lot more about something far more important, intimacy, which is what our soul is actually desiring. Join us as we study this together. We believe that God intentionally created a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, multi-layered universe in order to display His extreme complexity and diversity through various individuals and cultures. More simply put, God is eternally complex, and we as humans, being the chief of His creation display various aspects of His beauty. Therefore, to be able to see, celebrate, and honor our cultural differences is a part of how we actually see and honor God. Therefore, racial reconciliation isn’t just a hip topic so we can all get along! It is a direct fulfillment of us loving our neighbor and an ability to love, honor, and see God as we love and honor God’s creation. We believe and pursue living in biblical community, often saying that we don’t find community, we fight for community. On today’s episode, Tory and Mary share what fighting for community has looked like in their friendship, with Ephesians 4 as the backdrop. How do we speak the truth in light of betrayal? What does it look like to be angry and not sin? How do we reconcile, be kind to one another, be tenderhearted, and forgive despite deep wounds? We begin our new series in the Song of Songs (or Song of Solomon!). This book focuses on romantic relationships, and while on the surface it feels like there's just a bunch of old Hebrew poetry (that doesn't make a ton of sense!), beneath this is wisdom that the greatest "love scholars" in the world have yet to fully uncover! What do the Scriptures have to say about love, marriage, sex, conflict, dating, and all of the complexities of romance? How can we apply these into our lives, whether single, married, divorced, etc.? And what if there's a deeper truth than just human to human love? This week we begin with attraction. What should we be attracted to and why does this matter? How will right attraction bless us in the long-run? Join us as we study this book together. Hosted on Ausha. See ausha.co/privacy-policy for more information.
