Barbara Lax is the founder and CEO of Little Green House: A group of multilingual pre-school day care centres in Switzerland with a focus on creativity, play and being in touch with nature.
The idea for Little Green House was born in 2010 when Barbara was working in a large corporation. She launched the first Little Green House in 2012. It was a huge success. Little Green House was in the top third of fastest growing businesses in Europe between 2012 and 2015. Today there are 6 Little Green Houses in Switzerland. Barbara has won many accolades as an entrepreneur including the Veuve Cliquecot Swiss business woman of the year award in 2017.
Barbara is a living example of Growth Mindset in action. In this interview recorded in August 2021 she talks about what helped her to persevere through the tough start up phase of Little Green House and how she got the right support. She also talks about the power of communication and connection in her role as CEO of a large dispersed team to fuel a culture of candor, belonging and learning.
