Our guest today is Shae Ronald, CEO of Youthline, a charity that has been proudly supporting young people and their families as a frontline mental health service for over 50 years. It is a first point of contact for New Zealand’s young people aged between 12-24 years.

Throughout her career, Shae has been a tireless advocate for young people’s voices being heard, and proudly describes Youthline as a with youth, for youth organisation. In our conversation, we touch on the challenges young people face today, and the motivation behind Shae’s desire to see young people supported, so they can feel resilient in the face of the many challenges that life brings.

We begin our conversation with me asking Shae how she came to be the CEO of one of the biggest mental health focused non-profits in New Zealand.
