Originally from Saint-Lucie but having grown up between this island, Trinidad and the United State, Deja John shares her opinion on what makes the Caribbean people. For many years, she worked in the fashion industry as a model and she was a teacher, before moving to Hungary. Deja also wrote a book, Fair Helen’s Midnight, a narrative poem about her native island.
