Description
Meet Mariam,
Pakistani, TCK and eternal expat, Mariam has lived in over 10 countries: moving alone, moving with her husband, and later moving as a multicultural family with their three children. Together, with her German-Italian husband, they have found different ways to bring their own cultures into their children's lives, creating traditions and some stability, all while embracing what each country has to bring. Each creating their own Mola as she likes to describe a TCKs identity.
As her expat life evolved, Mariam found new ways to reinvent herself and shifted her career towards writing. In this episode, she shares the story behind her novel The Guilty Can't Say Goodbye, a love letter to Portugal, and the relationships between three expat women with their own secrets, guilt, and hopes for a new life.
