Jefri Franks, M.S., CPC resides in Kansas City, Missouri. She is a keynote speaker and certified life coach with a niche in Grief, transition, and personal growth. Her passion is helping people bloom wherever they are, regardless of their circumstances. Jefri accompanies her clients as they build resilience and hope! She is also a self-published author. Her book is called Heather's Journey: A Mother's Accidental Guide Through Loss To Hope. Heather was Jefri’s only child and she passed away from a rare form of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma ( Peripheral T Cell) in 2001.

1. In some ways, society sees death as a failure. "America is the only country in the world that believes death is optional." ~Unknown
2. Grief and mourning are not the same. Grief is what's going on inside of you. For example, sadness, despair, and angst.
Mourning is moving grief from the inside of you to the outside of you by talking about it or writing about it.
3. Men and women grieve differently.

In 2011, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, out of the blue. I did not have any prior health concerns or issues. Fast forward, the dreaded cancer diagnosis opened my eyes, introduced me to my purpose, and lead me to where I am today.
