The manner in which believers partake in the Lord's Supper matters. That is why understanding the meaning of 1 Corinthians 11:24-31 is important.
It should not be in an unworthy manner, but rather in a manner of reverence.
The Corinthians professed something, but they didn't possess something. They lacked the right manners. They were selfish gluttons. They were distracted and had no distinction between the Lord's supper and their everyday, common meal.
This sermon will challenge you that without a proper observance, there is no real, biblical observance.
Finally, this 1 Corinthians 11 sermon will give the 4-fold look each believer should have regarding the Lord's Supper.
The look back to the cross.
The look around as we remember as a body of believers.
The look forward till he comes.
The look inward to examine yourself.
