Hey, welcome to this third episode of the podcast, Beyond Defense, A New Way to Live. My name is Marc-André Rysk. Welcome to this episode where we're going to be looking at if no ego, then what? So if no defense system, then what? So if you've been listening to the first two episodes, maybe that's... One question that's popping up in your mind, it's, okay, fine, I'll get over my ego, I'll transform my ego, I'll heal. But what do we do to defend ourselves against attacks? What do we do? when someone comes at us and wants to cause harm, for example, in whatever way they will. And so what we'll be looking at is, if no ego, then God. And God manifests himself, itself, herself, call it whatever you want, the source. has been manifesting itself for forever right for as long as the universe has existed uh we've called it different things what god is the yin and the the yin and the yang and it's the feminine and the masculine energy i use this because i i find it uh easy to relate to that inner power that we have to the power that created everything to the power that we pray to to the power that we turn to um whenever we need strength whenever we need peace, whenever we need even something to happen in our lives, whether it is for us or for someone else. So God can be many things, represents many things, but what I want to put the emphasis on when we're asking about, okay, so if no ego, if I live with no ego, then what? I want to put emphasis on this aspect of the divine energy that we call both the feminine and the masculine energy. And that should come as no surprise if you've listened to the first two episodes because I talk. a lot about wanting and I'll go even deeper into that today at the at the end of the last episode if you remember I said I had many more things I wanted to share with you in the second episode and I said I'll keep them for the next one and so I'll dive deep into that now because I want to talk I want to go back to the feminine energy which is um visible in us or we can feel it in us through different things including our desires feminine energy is the desire for something it's not only that though it's also feminine energy is also what we need to turn to to love to accept ourselves and other people so love is part of the feminine energy and there's one more thing i want to talk about and the most important thing this episode. and to really get that there is something beyond ego that we can go back to and live with and that can be our defense system and it's a part of the feminine energy and it's the receiving part of it so let's start with that receiving whatever you want in life when i work with clients on abundance on wealth creating wealth in their lives The outside world is a reflection of our inner world, right? So if you want abundance out there, wealth out there, you need to first have it inside of you. What does that mean? That means there needs to be no impediment for wealth to happen out there in your life, within you. That means you have to open your arms, your hands, you have to be willing to receive. I spoke in the first two episodes about the wound that's at the core of all of our struggles, right? Rejection makes it so that we have a belief in place that says, I am not worthy to receive. And that's unconscious. And if you're fighting me on this right now, and you're just like me and everyone else around you, it's fine. You can fight this for now. But eventually when you become conscious, remember consciousness, the most important step, when you become conscious that that's what's really at play every time you don't receive what you want, there is still a part of you that believes, for whatever the reason, that you are unworthy to receive what you want. And that's against divine energy, that's against God's will for you, for me, for all of our lives. and we have to become conscious of that obstacle inside of us that is preventing us from receiving now what's the relationship with what's the connection with ego and living with no defense system you have to open up if you want to live without an ego without defense if you want to live and use your energy fully to create what it is that you want and have that joy and lightheartedness that you're looking for So to live beyond ego, you have to open yourself up to receive the protection from beyond, if that makes any sense. It won't for your logical mind, but you have to open yourself up to God. You've probably heard this saying before, when we hit you on the cheek, turn the other cheek. that's a that's a saying that's often misunderstood but it's perfect when we're talking about defense systems and whether we should defend ourselves when someone hits us in the face or not or how right and so that saying is not there to say stay there and just get hit and do nothing about it but it's there to represent a very core concept for us to live, to stop creating ego, to stop feeding ego, and to go back to living from a heart-centered place where natural protection will arise. That saying is there to represent or to show us don't resist, don't lose energy resisting, Accept what's happening and acceptance, love, part of Venom and energy. We'll go into that in a few minutes. But just accept what's taking place and remember. And you've probably heard this before too, is we're all here to remember. So in that moment when, let's say, you get slapped in the face. no mention here to a chris walk anyway when you get slapped in the face you get slapped in the face to turn the other cheek means to just accept what's happening and work on redirecting your energy towards what it is that you want obviously nobody wants to get slapped in the face logically speaking so we know we don't want that But in order to overcome and heal from rejection, we've got to get to a place where we trust God, life, the universe, call it whatever you want, I'll call it God. We have to get to a place where God's got our back. I've had a saying with one of my friends for many years now, something that I've put a t-shirt even, that's called life's got my back. And that's the true defense system. And it's not logical for your ego and for when you come from your past experiences only. Because your past experiences will say, make sure you protect yourself next time you're facing this person. But what is God saying? God is saying, I've got you. Your heart is saying, I've got you. You've probably heard this before, the most powerful force in the universe is love. Love is true power. And you've heard me say in the last episode, the feminine first, then the masculine. Masculine is strength, the keep pushing, the perseverance, the courage, being brave. But you can only have that if you have love with it. Love is the true power. Love is your true defense system. And you don't need to do anything. to receive that. You've got that divine feminine energy within you already. Your work, our work, the work I do with my clients when they want to get rich is to open up, be willing to receive. But see, the thing is we've built an ego, we've got our past memories, and we know better than anyone else. what we didn't do in the past and we equated that with okay if i didn't do this i was a bad person and so i'm not deserving of this today this takes place in all of us anyway i've been met i haven't met in the physical someone who's not uh stuck in what we call guilt right and so what that does we know better than anyone else when you go to bed at night or when you wake up in the morning right what according to your inner system inner belief system what you didn't do right the night before the day before the week before the year before 10 years ago uh 20 30 years ago and if you're open enough and conscious enough in your last life and your past 10 lives What we do know is guilt has been on earth for thousands of years. The good and the bad, right? Often the most popular movies, right, where they represent that. Star Wars, just to name a few. The dark and the light. And it's not to say that there's no darkness and there's no light. What I'm talking about here is our ego believing. More than believing in God, our God today is that belief that there is right and there is wrong in the world. That doesn't come from God. That is not a divine thought. What does God say? What I said was God is the feminine and the masculine. Feminine first, then masculine. In the feminine, there's the desire, the wanting, but there's also the capacity to receive. To receive all the good things in life, that includes a defense system, a natural defense system. I say to repeat, ego is not natural. What I said in the last episode, and I recommended the movie Castaway for you to have a clear image. that when we felt that our loneliest and we were the most hurt we felt alone when we felt like even god had dropped us and so we had to build something to face the big bad world and it was the construction the start of the construction of our ego And I said we need to drop that now. If you want to live free, and if you want to go towards what you want, you need to drop your ego, your defense system, that you created when you thought you were all alone in the world, when you couldn't feel God's presence within you, but it never left. the feminine and masculine energy never left you. You only had the thought. You only had the belief then, because you were hurting so much, that you were all alone. And we believed that so much that we started constructing... deconstructing building an ego and today in order to move beyond that you're going to have to deconstruct it but first you have to make the choice to do that and in order to do that what we saw in the first two episodes is you got to want that which is the feminine energy connect to your feminine energy your divine feminine energy you don't need to work on anything it's there already within you naturally you want to live beyond defense you want to live beyond ego And so if there's no ego... ego then what is there through the feminine divine energy receiving natural protection from god from the invisible world stop defending yourself when we hit you on the cheek turn the other cheek means turn towards what it is that you want to create i think it's mother teresa that said or was inspired by a poem maybe or something said what you will Take years or your lifetime to build. We will destroy in seconds. Build it anyway. What is that? What is that? What does that mean? It means stop resisting when we hit you on the cheek. Turn the other cheek means turn towards what it is that you want. Go ahead and keep on constructing, on building, on creating what it is that you want. God, life, the universe, the source, saw the hit. Saw that you just got slapped. Saw if it was unfair or not. So we've got to believe, we've got to go back to being faithful and believing in invisible, an invisible protection, but it will make no sense. And literally, to our senses, we won't see it, right? To our eyes, to our sense of smell or taste or ears, to hear, right? We won't be able to touch it with our hands. Like, I won't have a gun in my hands to protect me. So it won't make no sense. So for our physical senses, it'll sound crazy. But that's only because we've gone so deep into the physical world that we think whatever exists physically speaking is only reality. There's no other reality than what exists physically. But you know, I know that that's a lie. Nothing exists in the physical plane before it is first invisible. Speak to Steve Jobs. Maybe you did before he passed away. Anyway, on this plane. And there was no iPhones 20 years ago. It was invisible. There was a thought, the idea for the iPhone. And it's like that for anything that exists today. Which, yes, can make you come to think about what did God think before he created the universe? Excellent question. Meditate on that. So in order to, if no ego, then what? In order to go beyond defense, you've got to be open to receive the protection that will come from the invisible world. And that's tough for us because that means in a way that you've got to be or appear, quotation marks here, weak. Imagine getting slapped in the face in the middle of a restaurant and not doing anything about it. And people probably looking around and being like, oh man, he's not going to do anything about that. He's going to let her or him talk to her or him that way. Do something, right? And you are going to do something. You're going to turn the other cheek, meaning you're going to keep your focus on what you want. And that's the real work. Overcoming the rejection wound. so that you'll be able to constantly focus on what it is that you want to create. And for that, you have got to learn to lean on the invisible. Call it whatever you want. I call it God. You're going to have to come to peace with appearing weak, or whatever your word is. And to lean on the ultimate power that created everything, God, that lives within you. And in order to do that, you got to open to the feminine divine energy within you to receive divine protection. And I said at the beginning of the podcast, there's different elements to feminine energy, right? Divine feminine energy. So there's the capacity to receive all the good things in life. But there's also love or acceptance, and there's also sensitivity, sensibility. And I want to get into that now. Because when we're talking about going beyond ego, and if there's no ego, then what? And I'm saying you've got to be able to receive divine protection, be open to receiving divine protection. That's complete trust, right? Surrendering and abandoning yourself to something beyond what the physical eye can see. I'm also talking about the attribute of the feminine energy that's love and acceptance. And I said earlier, love is the biggest force in the universe. And I actually had my first question following the first episode. And I can maybe answer it here. To someone I said, how is it again that by creating we're healing? And so when we're talking about the feminine energy or the element of the feminine energy that's love and acceptance, acceptance means loving what's there. Loving what's there doesn't mean you agree with it, it just means you're able to observe it with no judgment, no guilt. That's the position of the divine in any situation. And if you want to have a clear image of that, once again, I'll refer to... Is it the seventh art? Is that what we call the cinema? Anyway, I'll refer to a movie. A great movie for that is The Shack. And if you've not seen it, it's the story of a man who loses his young daughter. to a murderer so she gets kidnapped and killed and he will go and meet with god the father right and they'll have plenty of very powerful and meaningful conversations in the movie and difficult conversations but with what we're talking about today one of the conversations that the man has with god is about judgment And basically, what God, eventually in the movie, but what God shows the men who lost his daughter is, what would you have me do? Because you're my child, but so is this man who just murdered your daughter, or a while back had murdered your daughter. And so it's an extreme example, maybe. But it serves to understand what love is. Love is not about lovey-dovey. That's tenderness, kindness maybe. Call it what you want. But love is just the acceptance of what is. It's not sexy. It's not romantic. It's just allowing what is to be there with no judgment, no guilt. Once again, just a reminder, guilt and judgment don't grow on trees. They grow in the human mind. When the person with that mind, that's you and me, we're hurt, we're suffering, and we didn't know what to do, and we started looking at the world, saying some things are good, some things are bad. Which will bring me eventually, in this episode, talking about coming to peace with your own sensitivity. We are sensitive beings. But before we do, let's just complete the... Conversation here on love and acceptance and the relationship between that or the connection with healing and living with no or no ego or beyond defense and creating as a means to heal it's because our nature is creative come from the creator we are creative beings and and assure proof that you're... And the love energy is that you're directing your energy towards what you want to create. You're not resisting anything. We just said love is allowing what is to be there. When I said earlier the saying, if you get slapped on the cheek, turn the other cheek. Does that mean that you're supposed to stay there and just get a beating? I mean, you can if you choose to do that. No, it doesn't mean that. It means you just stop resisting what's coming at you. And you start developing or reconnecting to your inner strength and your inner capacity to use your energy to continue creating what it is that you want to create. You stop feeding that wound of rejection because we... We're in reaction to that. Let's say you get slapped in the face or someone makes a comment to you that's hurtful. Rejection arises right away whether we're conscious of it or not. Rejection is the opposite of love. Rejection is what? When you reject someone. You push against it. We just said love is just allowing what is to be there. So whenever there's something happening that goes against, that hurts us, that triggers us, we know that this energy we call rejection is awakened. And we haven't dealt with that properly in the past or for most of our lives. And so we've let our ego take over. And ego, when rejection is activated, says, see, this is happening because you are not worthy to receive what you want. And we believe that thought. So in order to step out of ego and rejection, you've got to turn the cheek. That means you've got to stop believing that if we slap you in the face, it's because you're deserving of that. That's a lie. It's not because our parents didn't do this or that when we were younger that would have made us feel accepted. It's not because they didn't do certain things or say certain things that it means it's because we deserved that. Once again, I'll just repeat it. I haven't met people yet. that don't have that wound. I have met plenty of people though that were not conscious of that wound. Remember the key is consciousness. So for now if you're not conscious of that, aware of that, you're not too sure of that, just remain as open as you can to receive this information and let it kind of settle within you and then you can choose in the next few weeks if you decide that it makes sense for you or not and if it doesn't then just store it as a unhelpful information and that's it but you'll probably come to realize like i have for my life and for the people that have helped over the years so far there is some part of you that says when you're not getting what you want that says it's because i'm unworthy to receive And when that takes place, then other parts of our ego can step up. And then we start resisting, fighting against the slap in the face. So we won't turn the other cheek because we're like, uh-uh. It's not true that I'm not deserving of, right? So we're going to start fighting against. And while we do that, there's not enough energy or no more energy to direct towards what we want to create. Does it take practice? Yes. That's why a lot of the things I do in the program, I help people with, I call them training, training camps. Just like in sports, you don't become a professional athlete or a professional in your sport because you just, I don't know, a tennis professional because you picked up a racket once or twice. You train. It's the same thing. Living without a defense system is you got to train. Getting slapped in the face and turning the cheek. to go towards what it is that you want takes training because the first thing you'll do is probably slap back yes a reaction of the ego not natural naturally what do we do remember we are divine beings divine energy lives within us we need to re-identify with that instead of keep on identifying with our defense system with our ego we come from the creator all of us And the creative energy within is part feminine, part masculine. And in that feminine energy, we're talking about love right now. That feminine energy needs to become your real protection. That love needs to become your real protection. Your ability to constantly move towards what it is that you want to create needs to become your ultimate protection. That needs. So love is the allowance of what is. And how do we know that you love yourself? What's the proof of someone who lives in that space of love? Is you constantly move towards what it is that you want to create. That's the sure proof that someone is in love with themselves, but not in love with themselves in an egotistical way, or an ego. Just in love with yourself in the sense of you're really aligned, you're centered. And out of love for you, you move towards what it is that you want. So that's the proof that love is your true defense system. And that's what naturally we all have. And when you're really in love with yourself, living in that space of love, it creates an energy of protection around you. No one can touch you. Nothing can touch you. And I mean, if we can touch you, it's because you allow that to happen. Right? You really feel that inner strength within. And you allow it to touch you. Why do I say that? Because love is the allowance of what is. When God came to earth or just believe it or not or there's different avatars over the... centuries and millennials and Jesus is considered one of them right so God came down to earth through Jesus and Jesus is an example of living in that space of love I'm sure there's been others right any others but he's well known for that teaching about love and he's God so he had ultimate power but he allowed the hurt to come to him He could have said no. He could have rejected that. He could have done whatever he wanted. He could have eliminated his enemies. He could have. He's God. He didn't. Because he came here to teach about love. Love needs to become your ultimate defense system. And remember what I just said a few minutes ago. I said, how do we know that you're living in that heart-centered place? What's at the heart of us as well? What's in feminine energy? Desires or wants. So someone who loves himself or herself is someone who's constantly walking, running or sprinting towards what it is that they want. So that's our natural defense system. And I said that I wanted to talk about a third aspect of the feminine energy. There's many more. The feminine energy, the divine energy of the feminine within us, that's allowing us to be sensitive. We need to come to peace with that. We are sensitive beings. You need to be open to receive all kinds of sensations from the external world and from your internal world. If not, you'll keep on feeding your ego an unnatural defense system that will, it's not wrong, right? It's just that they'll keep on making you live the life that you have right now. There's nothing wrong with that, but probably just not fulfilled to its potential. not peaceful and joyful to its potential. Is that bad? Is that wrong? No. Just look at your world and just look at the external world right now and the way we treat ourselves, neighbor to neighbor, but countries to countries. Is that bad? Is that wrong? No, it's the way the world is, but there's another way. And it starts with all of us, if we want the external world to look differently. It's up to all of us to come to peace with that sensitive side of us. We built an ego back then, when we were kids, because we felt things that were definitely uncomfortable, not to say hurtful, and we didn't know what to do with what we felt. So we started fighting the feeling. That's what ego is there for. Feeling is natural. Allowing feelings to arise, allowing you to feel things, to be sensitive to what you're feeling in different experiences is natural. It's the flow of the feminine energy. If you're blocking that with your ego, you're cutting yourself off from the source, from divine energy. you're not supposed to do that and i remind you if you get slapped in the face you'll feel things you'll feel it because you're sensitive but divine energy is not here to say see you just got slapped in the face it's because you deserve it No, it's just part of human experience. Sometimes you might get slapped in the face for different reasons. Your job is stay connected to God. Stay connected to your heart. Center when that happens. Why? To your own benefit. So that you can remain centered on what's important for you. And for that... we need to come to peace with feeling things i have another saying another thing that i put on a t-shirt it's simply called called feel the feeling And that's a, I use it just as a reminder for us. When a feeling comes, don't resist it. Just allow it to be there. It's normal. Sometimes you'll feel things that are pleasant. Sometimes you'll feel things that are unpleasant. You don't need to build an ego for that. You don't need to build a defense system for that. You need to come to peace with your sensitivity, which is part of divine feminine energy. God, the universe, life, created you this way. Accept being sensitive. Easier said than done? Yeah, you're talking to a very sensitive person. I was called by my parents, by my family when I was younger, the most sensitive person in the family. I was known for that. And I tried to reject that for the longest time. I wasn't at peace with that. Now I embrace that more and more. It's not to say that we're sensitive to the same degree, no, and that we're sensitive to the same things, no. But what's for sure is we are sentient beings. We are all sensitive. That's part of divine energy within us. And so if you want to go beyond defense, if no ego, then what? Then come to peace with feeling things. Learn to feel things. Don't bottle up your feelings or emotions. You don't need to act out of... your emotions, but you certainly need to allow for them to be there. Remember, love the greatest power in the universe. Love is what? The allowance of what is. When you're feeling things, stop fighting it. And it's exactly why we built an ego when we were kids. We were hurt. We felt hurt. And no one was there to kind of say, hey, it's okay. You can feel this way. And because no one was there to say that, or because we didn't hear it, or couldn't hear it, we felt all alone, and to accompany us we built ego. So now it's your choice. You come to peace with your sensitivity and the feminine divine energy within you that's allowing you to feel things, or not, and you keep living with a defense system. But be clear. Continuing to live with a defense system means less energy to create what you want. Means less energy to really, really live out... that everything is truly possible. So if you want that for you in your life, because you realize you matter and you're important, then I strongly recommend that you keep moving or you start moving in the direction of your sensitivity and allowing that to take place, to be there, to feel things and getting the help maybe that you need. to help you feel without reacting. It means what? To get slapped in the face sometimes and not resist turning the other cheek. What does that mean? Just a simple example. Someone makes a comment. It hurts you. A judgment. Can you just take a second, a moment? to feel how you're feeling when you're receiving that comment. Because remember, the first thing I talked about about feminine energy in this episode is what? If no ego, then what? Receiving divine protection. And if you get a comment that hurts you, and you don't resist and so you don't go into ego don't go on to believing that it's because your divine defense system has not been there to protect you maybe there's a different lesson for you to learn in that moment maybe there is divine protection in that moment when you're receiving that comment Can you remain open by feeling only without resisting? Just learning to feel so that you can receive that divine protection and what it wants for you. I hope this makes sense to you. It's all I had for this episode. I hope it's useful. Like I said in the last episode, I hope it resonates. I hope it helps you in some way. I hope you get one thing out of this episode. Thank you for listening. And if you want, do let me know if you do get something from it, or if you have a question about something that I've mentioned. But my sincere hope and wish really is that the things that I bring up and discuss in the episodes are there to... My wish is that it helps you to move towards what it is that... that you want to create more and more. And it helps you to move beyond ego more and more. And again, not because it's wrong or bad, but just because it's an unfulfilling system that we have in place. All right, so thanks for listening. And I'll talk to you soon.
