Speaker #0Welcome back to Soul Sistas Sleep Meditations. Hey Soul Sisters, welcome to the full moon meditation for January 2025. This is the first, very first full moon of the year. Please excuse my voice as I am currently fighting a cold at the moment. Yeah, trying to fight this, whatever I have, and hearing the news, the heartbreaking news about the fires in LA. Seeing... the city of angels my home being burnt down is just so heartbreaking and knowing people that have been severely impacted it's really tough and really hard and so this full moon is called the wolf moon and It is about emotional release, releasing your hard emotions, things that are just stuck inside, allowing ourselves to be vulnerable to how we're really feeling lately and allowing us to see see it for what it is without ignoring it like we usually do and so with this full moon meditation with the wolf moon we are going to allow ourselves to howl with healing with the Woof, moon. And if at any time during this practice it feels too much for you, feel free to back away from it now at any time. So allow ourselves to get into a relaxing place just for a moment. as we allow ourselves to open our eyes to the things that are surrounding us allowing ourselves to open our eyes to the room or if you're outside the sky and the moon and really allowing ourselves to open our eyes to our surroundings. And I mean, I know usually we are closing our eyes when we meditate, but tonight, I feel like we should open our eyes. to the things around us, opening our eyes to the things that really matter to us, you know? we might have these material things around us but allow ourselves to open our eyes to what really matters and that's for you to define for yourself what or who really matters in your life And why don't we focus our attention there for this moment with the full moon. And now maybe we have all of this heaviness perhaps in our shoulders. We feel tight. perhaps in our chest or stomach might be turning and doing flips or being tight allowing ourselves to focus in and relax into our body as we open our eyes to the things that really matter to us and i think that's where we can find our healing is by paying attention to the things that we say is important to us and allowing ourselves to define it for ourselves. Prioritize it for ourselves. Open your eyes to what really matters. Now we're going to allow ourselves to get into a breathing practice. We are going to inhale for two counts and deep sigh out until all the air escapes our body. So allowing ourselves to take a deep, deep breath in, one, two, and exhale out. Once again, deep inhale in, one, two, and deep sigh out. as we blow and release all that energy out until there is no more like a like a balloon that is deflating allowing all the air out once again taking a deep breath in one two and deep sigh out like you are blowing out of a straw deflating like a balloon allowing all that air out until you can't release anymore to your stomach is tight once again inhale one two and exhale out just like a balloon deflating allowing all the air out until your stomach is nice and tight and once again deep inhale in one two and exhale out while you're blowing out of a straw until your stomach is tight, fully deflated. and inhale again one two and out again inhale in one two and out Inhale 1 and 2 and out. Inhale 1 and 2 and out. Really seeing all that tension, allowing your body to just get a little tighter. as we exhale out and inhale once again one and two and allow yourself to sigh it all out gently Let's again inhale in one and two and sigh it out gently. Hope the tension in your body is falling a little bit looser. allowing ourselves to once again take a deep inhale in one and two and then gentle sigh out allowing ourselves to be gentle with ourselves now As we have just released a lot of tension present in our bodies. One more time. Allowing ourselves to be gentle with ourselves. As we inhale, one. Two. And sigh out gently. Allow ourselves to again open our eyes to the sky. the moon at its fullness, allowing ourselves to be gentle with our breath as we relax into our normal pace. And once again with a clearer mind and a less tense body, opening our eyes to what really matters, allowing the universe to guide. this answer for you. Only you can answer it for yourself. Once again allowing ourselves to be gentle with our breath. Reconnecting to what really matters. in this life for us, allowing ourselves these little moments to remember what really matters. I'm going to continue with our... Breathing practice once again for emotional release. Connecting with our breath once again, we're going to do a slightly different exercise, but ultimately the same as a gaze up to the moon, giving honor. To the moon, to the sky, the moon and its light, honoring the moon and its cycles, knowing that one cycle is not better than another. Honoring that the cycles change and that sometimes the cycles do feel different and allowing that to be okay as every day is a new cycle. And every day is a chance to remember what really matters to us and reconnecting to those things that really matter. So let's take a deep breath in once again. We're going to do two breaths in. and on the exhale we are going to exhale towards the moon like we're trying to send our breath and our energy and our the energy of our exhale to the moon in order to honor its presence So again, let's inhale one, two, and exhale towards the moon as though we are blowing out of a straw or deflating a balloon, allowing our bodies to get as as as extra tense as as it can on each exhale as we are pushing our energy towards the moon and once again inhale one two And exhale out towards the moon. And inhale 1, 2. And giving our energy to the moon once again. in the same way that it gives energy to us here on earth energy to the ocean and energy to the plants again inhale in one two And sending our energy once again to the moon, allowing our bodies to get as tight. as possible and deep inhale in as we return to our normal breath gently gently and calm and safe Gently and calm and safe. As this is an emotional release practice. Allowing ourselves to stay gentle in this practice. or staying gentle as we come out of this emotional release practice. Calm and steady, allowing our bodies to ground back down safely into the earth where the earth comforts. and the earth heals and the earth is a reminder of how we should honor ourselves honor each other honor our relationships a relationship to the earth, honor our relationship to the moon, honor all of our relationships, and expressing gratitude for small things. Starting with gratitude for the small things. Because the small things really do matter most. The subtle things. Those subtle feelings usually tend to build up into big feelings. So I'm allowing ourselves to... get into a practice of noticing the subtle differences in our feelings, the subtle events where we can express gratitude, just noticing the small things in life. Noticing the small things that truly matter in this life. And allowing ourselves to feel the good things. allowing ourselves to connect with the good small things small simple pleasures The small and simple pleasures, sometimes things in our lives are so consistent, they're just so normalized around us that we forget to recognize and express gratitude for them. So expressing gratitude for the normal things in our lives. that we tend to take for granted. Noticing and recognizing these things can be challenging for some. But if we continue to open our eyes and stay open to the small things we can allow the small things to grow into something big. And with that, thank you for joining me for this full moon meditation with the wolf moon. And thank you for joining me as always in this practice. Thank you for showing up for you. Thank you for opening your eyes during this practice. And thank you for allowing yourself to release. anything and all that you needed. Thank you for allowing yourself the space to give yourself what you need. Thank you. Ashe. Stay safe and take care of yourself, each other, and the earth. Ashe.
