Description

This meditation focuses on grounding ourselves in the present moment by exploring the physical space around us. Through mindful breathing and gentle observation, weā€™ll connect with the sensations of where weā€™re sitting, expanding our awareness to the furniture surrounding us, and the space in between. This practice invites us to deepen our sense of calm, release tension, and discover the peace that exists in simply being and observing. Welcome back to Soul Sisters Sleep Meditations. Hey Soul Sisters, let's begin this meditation by finding a comfortable, relaxing... position that can be sitting down or laying down whatever feels most comfortable and most safe for you feel free to do it allowing ourselves to Find a place in our physical space that will allow us to come into this meditation practice tonight and being open to any experiences that may. come about allowing ourselves to be open to any sensations any realizations any insights as we look and glance inside with this meditation allowing ourselves to bring our awareness to wherever we are sitting whether that is on a chair or whether we are laying down and getting comfortable finding a place that feels nice we're gonna first allow ourselves to bring our awareness to where we are in this space, in this room, bringing our awareness to where we are in time and in space. Bringing our conscious awareness to this chair or to this cushion or to this sofa or to this bed. bringing our attention to this space to this piece of furniture only as we first take a deep breath in and out once again deep breath in and out once again deep inhale in and on each inhale bring our awareness to this piece of furniture, the bed, the sofa, the chair. Bring our awareness to how our body is interacting and experiencing this place. Again, deep inhale in as we connect with our bodies and how it's connected with the sofa. Again, deep inhale in. Bringing our awareness to our body and its connection to the self. How comfortable it feels as we allow any tensions that we are putting onto you. and the root or at our at our bums or our backs and whatever is in contact with the sofa, with the bed, with the chair, whatever piece of our bodies that are in contact, allowing ourselves to relax into that surface. as we inhale and as we exhale allowing our contact to deepen allowing our bodies to lean to that surface Letting go of all the tensions and the stress from the day. Allowing ourselves to release. Once again, deep inhale in and exhale out. Bringing our attention to the sofa. the bed, the chair, whatever we are sitting on, bringing our full awareness now to this experience. Notice the softness or the roughness or any sensations of where you are sitting. Any sensations, notice what are they. How does it feel checking in with what this sensation feels like to you? there is no right or wrong answer for how these sensations feel to you all of these feelings are valid as we continue to focus our conscious awareness to the sofa and our experience here. Continuing to stay connected with our breath. Inhale, gentle exhale. Once again, inhale. And soft, gentle exhale. Perhaps your mind is wandering just a little bit, allowing yourself to just gently bring your attention back to the sensations of the sofa. reminding ourselves that we are here now bringing our attention to expanding our intention and our consciousness to the space around us in this current room coloring our conscious awareness as we open up and see the room fully as we now focus on the other furnitures in this room bringing color and attention to the dresser on the left or the desk on the right maybe the bed that is behind you or the bookcase that is diagonal view We'll now focus on bringing color to the furniture and seeing the presence of another furniture and their outlines, their shapes, their colors. those individual pieces of furniture allowing ourselves to see them in this space that we are in Notice how tall they are. Think about how heavy they are. Feel the weight of that bookcase. Feel the weight. of that closet feel the weight of that desk bringing our attention now to the different sizes and shapes physical manifestations of these other pieces of furniture that are in the presence of us. Staying connected with our breath as we do so. Allow make ourselves to acknowledge the presence. of the bookcase, of the desk, of the dresser, allowing their presence to be known and seen. Now, allowing ourselves to notice, bringing our attention back to ourselves on this sofa, notice the interaction between myself and this sofa. Noticing the different furniture pieces surrounding me. Now what I want us to do is notice the space between ourselves on this sofa and this space between the other furnitures allowing ourselves to bring color and texture and length to this space, allowing ourselves to see the space. allowing ourselves to acknowledge that there is space between myself and the other furniture that i am observing Now, allowing ourselves to take a step to stand up. and to imagine ourselves standing up off of this sofa, taking a step away from the sensations of the sofa, and stepping into the space between. the sofa, and the other furnitures. Allowing ourselves to stand in this empty space. Bringing our conscious awareness to this space. allowing ourselves to stand in this space all the sofa and the other furnitures are existing in this space as well How does it feel to be in this space? The space where You are observing the sofa, but you are also observing the bookcase, the desk, the dresser, as they all exist in this space. We all exist in this space. Now see if you can expand this space. the space where you are observing the furniture around you see if you can give it a little more cushion a little more space for you to disconnect a little more space for you to breathe, a little more space to see that you are not the sofa, you are not the dresser, you are not the bookcase, the desk, the chair. We are simply just seeing, watching, observing. and at any time we can bring our awareness back to us sitting on the sofa at any time we can bring our awareness to the desk the bookcase the dresser the furniture that is surrounding us at any time we can bring our attention to that space where we are fully disconnected from the furniture and we can fully see the furniture for what it is where we can experience the furniture in the space. connecting with the breath as we come back into ourselves as we go back to the seating position whether that is chair, sofa, bed, wherever that central starting point, allowing ourselves to return back to that point, allowing ourselves to come back to that. sensation that experience as we feel the contact of our body with the surface of the sofa, the sensations of the sofa. Bringing our body and our attention back with a deep inhale in and out. Once again deep inhale in. and out. One more inhale in as we come back to our bodies and out.
