Speaker #0Welcome back to Soul Sistas Sleep Meditations. Welcome, welcome, welcome to the full moon meditation for the month of December. This full moon is known as the cold moon. It's also known as the winter maker moon or the long night's moon due to the extended hours of darkness during this time of the year. When I think about the coldness and the darkness of winter with our very long nights. I think it's important for us to remember and to see the small specks of the light. within the darkness allowing ourselves to see that without the darkness there is no light without the darkness We cannot, we cannot fathom the lightness. We need both the dark and the light. We need both experiences to know and appreciate the light. and also to appreciate the moments of darkness. Sometimes in moments of darkness, that is really when our light can shine through. Sometimes in our moments of darkness, this is where we are being asked, being asked to show and display our light for ourselves. and to show our light to others. And so, with this meditation, we are going to connect with darkness within, while also acknowledging the stars little specks of light that exist within the darkness starting with this large spotlight that is the cold moon it brings us light during the darkness. So let's take a moment to pause whatever that we're doing right now and allow ourselves to look up into the sky just for a moment. Look up and gaze at the light, the light that is reflected off the moon. Allow our eyes to open wide to it, and allowing our minds to... be cleared by it and if you're unable to gaze up at the moon we can just visualize the moon in our mind the full moon allowing ourselves to bask in its presence as we take a deep breath in and big sigh out. Once again, deep breath in. and deep sigh out. One more time, deep breath in and deep sigh out. Allowing all the feelings of darkness to be released into the night sky where it belongs. Where it has freedom to expand and grow. Not be so stuck in our bodies. A few more times. Deep inhale in. And deep sigh out. Deep inhale in and deep sigh out. One last time. Deep inhale in and letting go all the darkness. allowing it to be released into the darkness around us. Deep sigh out. As we take another look at the night sky. surrounded with a lot of darkness. But if we open our eyes, we can see the specks of light. So let's first start by counting. Counting the light in the sky that you can see, starting with the following one next. Continuing to count the specks of the light that you see in the dark sky. 2, 3, 4, 5. 6, 7, 8, 9. And you can keep on counting. Maybe you see more of this. Maybe you see a lot less. Maybe you're starting to see the airplanes or the drones that are in the sky. Feel free to count any light that you see. in the dark sky there is no right or wrong way there's no right or wrong number sometimes we live in areas that They're very heavy, heavily polluted with light, and so it can be hard for us to see from the ground the light that is above in the universe. But even then, you can see that there is light all around us on this ground level after you have counted the specks of light. That you see, I want you to use each number to say either out loud or in your mind. or even to write down the energy of positive light that is resonating in your life in this season. You can express gratitude. You can express positive things that are happening despite your overall experience feeling very dark. Take this time right now to acknowledge those sparks of light that we usually do not notice. due to the darkness that is surrounding us. For example, one I'm grateful for too even in this darkness a positive thing that i see is 3. A good thing is warm. I express my deepest gratitude for 5 I allow myself to acknowledge the good things happening and that good things are happening. For example, Good thing that was happening. If I just take a moment, if I just take a moment to open my eyes to the sparks of light that are present. amongst the darkness. Allow yourself to continue to Acknowledge the presence of these spirits who light love yourself too. Express gratitude and positivity for the good things. that is going in your life despite all the darkness that surrounds each and every one of us allow yourself to take this breath now and to acknowledge the light as it is always present. Stars are always present. from the sun always present let's let's allow ourselves to acknowledge their presence even if we're spiraling into the darkness we can always acknowledge the stars the moon the sun the good things that bring us good energy we can acknowledge and be grateful for those sparks of light then our darkness we can allow yourself to continue to acknowledge this occupied we can gently allow your mind to rest so find this meditation The choice is yours, Lashane.
