No matter what evil a person was accused of, if he managed to enter one of these six cities, no one should touch him. Outside these six cities or places, there was a seventh place, which was the temple of Jehovah in Jerusalem. So, if anyone was guilty or accused of a crime and managed to enter the temple of Jehovah, no one should drag him out of the temple to punish him.
