Join us as we continue in 1 Corinthians looking at the second of two passages regarding women in leadership within a local church (or at least supposedly about women in leadership!). Today, through another difficult passage, we see Paul's intensity towards the importance of corporate worship and the order that is needed to make sure the Lord is being rightly praised and received. For our context, if this passage has very little to do with women in leadership, where does that leave The Well on this issue? Join us as we tackle another difficult passage together! As we continue in 1 Corinthians we hit an extremely awkward, and candidly hard passage. This passage has been used in lots of ways throughout church history, ironically, usually doing the exact opposite thing Paul is commanding. What does head coverings have to do with women's roles within the church, or with the angels? How do we apply difficult passages like this one in other parts of the Bible? Join us as we tackle this difficult section together. Hosted on Ausha. See ausha.co/privacy-policy for more information.

Join us this Sunday as we continue learning about the spiritual gifts, this week studying how a church can implement the manifestation, or the “charismatic” gifts within a body. Paul continues to show how the gifts of the Spirit are good, but that one must continue to submit those gifts to the love of Christ, and the order and the structure of the Spirit. What does it look like for a church to practice prophecy, tongues, or other gifts like these? If they’re for today, how can we walk in them with integrity? Join us as we tackle this issue together. Join us as we continue our series in 1 Corinthians, this week looking at the famed chapter on love. This chapter can feel strange, being that Paul is in the middle of a discussion on spiritual gifts. And yet, this is one of the most important chapters in the Bible, particularly with regard to practicing the gifts. If churches or individuals have the most phenomenal gifts on earth, and yet do not apply this chapter, their works are nothing, and they themselves are even nothing! How can we learn to love, be it through gifts or even just through our lives, like this? Join us as we meditate on this important chapter together. Hosted on Ausha. Paul invites the church to see themselves not as spectators in the Christian life, but as vital members of Christ’s Body—called, gifted, and sent. When we minimize our role or envy others’ gifts, we rob the Church of the unity and power God designed through diversity. The Holy Spirit doesn’t just dwell in the “super spiritual”—He fills every believer with gifts for the good of the whole. But these gifts aren’t just talents—they’re tools for mission. God awakens us, not to sit comfortably, but to serve courageously. Like dry bones filled with breath in Ezekiel’s vision, we are revived not just to live, but to rise as an army—called to build the Church, love the hurting, and push back darkness. The big question is: will you sit on your gifts, or step into your calling? The Church doesn’t just need the gifts of a few—it needs you. Hosted on Ausha. This Sunday, we continue our series through 1 Corinthians, focusing on communion. Paul shifts his focus from interpersonal and individual issues to corporate ones. Throughout the majority of the rest of the letter he is hitting on "Sunday" problems, because of how important the gathering is for us as Christians. The Corinthians were... trippin' with how they were taking communion, and because of this some of them were dying! Meaning, communion is probably far more spiritual than we realize. Why is this important, and how is the table one of the greatest acts of grace we can receive in a week? Join us as we study this passage together. Hosted on Ausha. In a world where “truth” feels optional and evangelism can feel awkward or even offensive, what does it actually mean to reach people for Jesus? It’s a call to live with purpose, humility, and urgency — to love people enough to meet them where they are and point them to Jesus. This sermon is a reminder that the gospel is worth it. Let’s do whatever it takes. Hosted on Ausha. See ausha.co/privacy-policy for more information.

Join us as we continue in our series journeying through 1 Corinthians. This week we focus on Paul's radical statements about surrendering rights for others. While many may think this is a minor issue for them personally, there are few issues that seem to impact the American church like this one. We're very much the "knowers" in this section, and learning how to apply this section will create a freedom most Americans have never experienced, and life in our church that will be beautiful and dynamic. Join us as we study and apply this passage together. Hosted on Ausha. See ausha.co/privacy-policy for more information.
