we're back baby we are back good morning good afternoon good evening and welcome back to the duo that you've all been missing for the last two weeks the ever beloved and simply belovedly extremely cherished belovedly sophie lyons and clara cavna clara how are you

  • Speaker #1

    Well, hello.

  • Speaker #0

And yes, I did call us beloved.

  • Speaker #1

    So cherished.

  • Speaker #0

You're beloved and cherished. How are you?

  • Speaker #1

I am so very well. Glad to be back in the saddle with your fine self. Your beloved self, excuse me.

  • Speaker #0

Holy beloved. Talk to me about your mum coming on.

  • Speaker #1

Oh, we had a great time.

  • Speaker #0

    The icon.

  • Speaker #1

Annie was in flying form. Thanks for all the nice little messages that we got.

  • Speaker #0

Is Annie never not in flying form?

  • Speaker #1

I know she and she got all shy about it afterwards I was like mum own your power queen

  • Speaker #0

I sent a photo of my mum and I at a wedding a few months ago and she looked unbelievable oh I remember that one yeah and people were like or maybe I put it up on my Instagram story or something and she was getting all these all these messages saying how great she looked and I was reading them out and she was like oh god I wouldn't want people to think I'm flaunting myself and I was like when it was on my Instagram like it's grand classic ladies and that was a lot of fun yeah Tina Knowles released her book at the perfect time so we had lots of mum stuff to talk about Clara and I are actually going to have to skip our usual Jodorowska test this week because we have so much gossip it's coming out of our ears every orifice you can think of our nose belly button it all it's all been pent up for the last two weeks and we have tons of stuff to talk about so you're not going to hear about it at Jodorowska test

  • Speaker #1

And we're going to go back.

  • Speaker #0

We've no, we've no time. Clara, you're going in first. I believe it's to do with Celebrity Big Brother. And I'm dying to hear what you think about it. I wasn't watching. I just saw a few clips.

  • Speaker #1

There's been all this stuff online about Jojo Sewell breaking and her relationship with Chris from Love Island. And then her epically breaking up with her partner, Kath Ebbs, at the wrap party. It was a great season of Celebrity Big Brother. Oh, my God. Donna should have won. not stupid Jack P. Shepard from Corrie the prince of fucking ITV Donna was definitely the funniest she was the best housemate brought the best like energy but whatever Danny Beard came second which was good but Chris Hughes came sixth which was mad

  • Speaker #0

I also think he's very beloved

  • Speaker #1

I would have thought he'd win not that I've been watching it I just really like him especially at the beginning in that first week and we spoke about it where Mickey Rourke was being extremely homophobic to Jojo So... and making all these horrible comments, Chris really stepped in and comforted her and was like such an amazing ally and was great. But then after that, the two of them just stayed in this bromance.

  • Speaker #0

    Was it kind of childish?

  • Speaker #1

It was primitive. Oh. I thought it was, okay, firstly, he's 32, she's 21. It was like this constant preening and massaging and, oh, I've got an ingrown hair on the back of my thigh under my bum. you know can you help me get it out he would say that he was and then she was like helping him pop it or something she loves pimple popping because she's she's the team she's like 21 the preening like so she'd be telling him like oh yeah so i'm just feeling a bit overwhelmed and blah blah or like whatever's going on in the house and he'd be there like you know the way two apes nitpick on their backs and it's like a form of bonding that's what they were doing he'd be there like adjusting her eyebrow hairs and then putting a single strand of hair behind her ear I love physical contact, don't get me wrong. But if somebody was constantly preening me, I would feel suffocating and claustrophobic. So anyway, they're writing secret messages to each other. And she then in the last week, I said, she came out as queer as opposed to like, maybe she's struggling with her identity. She was like, maybe I'm non-binary. You know, she was just having like quite like open and beautiful conversations. Like the Jojo Siwa, who was like kind of a laughingstock of last year. is now just like blossoming in front of our eyes. It was such a turnaround. Really enjoyed her as a housemate. She's very mature, head screwed on. You know, she was great and like mature than her years. But there was bits anyway, it comes out in the house that Ella, particularly from Towie, it comes out that she's like, and a lot of the other housemates are like, you know. Jojo has a partner if this isn't cheating it's emotional cheating there's no way your partner on the outside is gonna be comfortable with this because it there was a lot of like spooning in bed in the morning and it blurred the line with platonic for sure yeah I just saw a few things and like yeah I wouldn't be happy if my boyfriend was doing that no I'm like but I do think if the roles if the gender roles were reversed and it was a straight girl with a gay guy because I was just trying maybe we're just not used to seeing a gay girl with a straight guy And you know, those friendships on television and maybe...

  • Speaker #0

But then wasn't she saying she was bi to him?

  • Speaker #1

Yes. So sorry, there was a few, like the platonic lines definitely were crossed. But they also did do a scene where they had, there was this cat challenge and they all had to dress up as cats and do like cat things. But the two of them peed in the cat litter. So I don't know if he'd be doing that with some...

  • Speaker #0

    What do you mean?

  • Speaker #1

Like he peed on the cat litter and she's like, it's my turn. And then she did it. She peed like a cat on a kitty litter tray. So I think that's to me where the friendship line was well and truly established, because then it was like, OK, I don't think you'd do that with somebody.

  • Speaker #0

Upon them leaving, do you think?

  • Speaker #1

When the housemates were calling out Chris and Jojo and like being like, this is emotional cheating, your partner would definitely not be OK with this. Ella did start saying things and she, to be fair, like she was speaking the truth and rather say to their face and behind their back. And she said like, well, Chris is obviously going to go for. Jojo because of her massive following and it opens up a huge big career door for him so why wouldn't he be pursuing this then when that is planted you're like he must be a fucking fame chaser there's no way she Jojo then started to like maybe question his intentions and they go on this morning they went on it last week I saw that they were like oh it's platonic and she was like a lot of like thigh slapping and like I'm going back to America I do think it is platonic Like, it got a bit weird maybe because they were just in this bubble. spiral down but I just think all this narrative of like oh they're together and blah blah I really just think they're pals I think she actually saw copped on to him maybe being a bit of a fame chaser I do think there's definitely something in that and then Jake Quickenden do you remember him from X Factor yes he said that he was on a show with Chris he was like oh I'm his best friends he wants me like in his bed all the time you know we have to do everything together so Chris does seem like a extremely codependent individual I think that Jojo just got added to that. Like, look at Chris and Kem from the 2017 Love Island. I don't know.

  • Speaker #0

    Oh, yeah.

  • Speaker #1

I think he's quite a codependent person because let's look at back here, right? When he became famous, he was going out with Olivia Atwood from that Love Island. They finished third, stayed together after the show and broke up the following year. She has since said that that relationship was the most expensive breakup she's ever had because of the amount of money that she's had to spend on therapy. Because... Say they'd be fighting loads all the time. And then he would be posting on Instagram, like, hearts and the two of them watching telly or like holding hands. And she was like, that photo was taken weeks ago and you're posting it now.

  • Speaker #0

Didn't he also get caught with Katie Price? Katie Price told Olivia Atwood that Chris was DMing her.

  • Speaker #1

    Oh, my God. Yes.

  • Speaker #0

    Yeah.

  • Speaker #1

And then Olivia Atwood warned Ella going into the Big Brother house, the telly store, being like, be careful of him. He's not worth your time. Oh. Because Ella and Chris were definitely set up. And you could tell that Ella got the hump because that was a romance. I'm sure maybe her agents or the producers were all like, oh, you need to get in with Chris and it'll be a big romance.

  • Speaker #0

Yeah, that was the hot topic, basically.

  • Speaker #1

Because Chris could have definitely had the Scotty from Geordie Shore winner's story of like, you have a kind of a romance on the side of Ella and then everyone sees you for this amazing guy that you are and then bam, you win. But because he got stuck in such like an insular... bromance with Jojo that rest they got really kind of cut himself off yeah the rest of the house were kind of got annoyed at them and they used to get like be peeing the cat litter then they had this they broke the rules together and then they were annoying everyone with these megaphones so it just got a bit like so he didn't he didn't deserve to win Juvenile he deserved to go in sixth place definitely juvenile then he was with Jesse Nelson for 16 months and then the romance ran its course according to the Metro then he had that fling with Moore Higgins Then he was with another pro golfer, Annabelle Dimmock.

  • Speaker #0

    Yes.

  • Speaker #1

But now he's rumoured, don't know how true this is, but a good few websites are reporting it, that he's going on to replace, so Paddy McGuinness from, remember, no lucky, no latte, take me out. His ex-wife, Christine, was due to go on Slabs Go Dating, but she's pulled out, and rumour has it Chris Hughes is going in there.

  • Speaker #0

To be a Slab Going Dating?

  • Speaker #1

    Yes.

  • Speaker #0

    Okay.

  • Speaker #1

Along with Atomic Kitten singer, Carrie Katona. I have a feeling she's been on that before. Two Hat to Handle star Louis Russell, don't know who he is. Love Island All Star Olivia Hawkins. And S Club member John O'H. Lee.

  • Speaker #0

    Whoa.

  • Speaker #1

I don't know. I think once somebody plants a seed in you that he's a bit of a fame chaser, it's very hard to not see them through that lens. Totally. He was just... I'm so proud of Jojo. I think she handled herself so well. Everyone should just give her a fucking break. Sorry, you broke up with Kath, your partner. They were together for five months. It wasn't five years. You know, they were 21. And also, Jojo was on The Vile Files, which is this big American podcast. And she explained the whole breakup at the after party. And she was like, Kath wasn't going to... they weren't going to come. Kath was like, no, no, no, I'm not coming, I'm not coming. And Jojo was like, I went from being with, what, 15 people to six people to now in a room with 200. And you're going, we need to talk, we need to talk, we need to talk. And it was like, what's your decision? She's like, I don't know. I don't know. Please stop asking me. I don't know. Like, I'm really overwhelmed. And then she's like, well, do you want to still be with me? And Jojo was like, if you're asking me for an answer now, my answer's no. And that's how they broke up. So it's like, it seemed like she was kind of, JoJo was like pushed for an answer. So yeah, I just think it's. I hope Jojo sees through Chris because it feels a little fake to me. What do you think? Your eyes are like saucers.

  • Speaker #0

I think that's really sad if that's the case.

  • Speaker #1

Because you could really see with the other celebs they were like, like Jojo is such a bigger star because she has more like worldwide fame whereas the rest of them are much smaller. Yeah,

  • Speaker #0

I just think when someone's from America it's just a bit differently. Wow, okay. But you're into Jojo.

  • Speaker #1

Sorry, I think she's great. Okay, she was obviously annoying at times and definitely she knows how to play the game and play the camera but she wasn't like like did she not do any of that no and like i think she had a real transformation that's where i think the big brother it's a bit like it's not really like i'm a celeb they do go on such a journey and because she's so young in the growth that jojo has shown in the last in this big brother experience these amazing these huge big three weeks for her there's someone there's thing. I heard I can't remember where I heard it but they said Katy Perry is the Jojo Siwa of 2025 Katy Perry is the oh gosh as in Karma's a bitch Jojo Siwa the kind of the cringe watch of 2025 that's what I mean like as in Jojo in her era of Karma's a bitch oh yeah yeah oh god that's humiliating I know the videos are not great of her kicking off the tour apparently she had the flu what's

  • Speaker #0

    why what's happening

  • Speaker #1

So there's just a lot of videos going around. Now, some are shot in a very mean way. Be like, oh, my God, stadium's empty. And it's like when doors are opening.

  • Speaker #0

That's really mean. I've seen them do that with Camilla Cabello.

  • Speaker #1

Yeah, which isn't not fair. But the dancing, though, is like my algorithm is it's all Beyonce, Cowboy Carter. But then I got the odd Katy Perry ones with jars quite a lot. But the choreography is just very lackluster. There's a whole scene where she's sitting dressed up as toilet paper. and singing to a number two and sitting beside a toilet.

  • Speaker #0

Oh, well, you know my stance on anything like that.

  • Speaker #1

It's very AI. Like, I think they use a lot of AI footage and then, like, of people.

  • Speaker #0

Well, she is quite cyborg-ish. You know, all her outfits are like...

  • Speaker #1

Yeah, and it's meant to be like a video game. So I think it's a little bit interactive that you can... The crowd picks the next songs and, like, you make it through to the next level. But when she's fighting these dancer bosses, it's just the fighting is quite, quite shitty.

  • Speaker #0

It's really- They love this whole, like, let's interact with the crowd and get them to decide what happens, don't they?

  • Speaker #1

Yeah, with Katie, I think it's like, obviously down like a pylon. But I just think for her to spend that 11 minutes in space, not spending any time looking out the window, ruining the environment. You spend the whole time in front of the camera. with the Daisy, now your daughter's called Daisy Cute, but then with her set list, I think if she just didn't, she's trying too hard, like you don't need to put your set list, nobody can read that tiny butterfly, by virtue of you going to space, people were like, oh my god, Katy Perry's cool, oh she's coming to my town, I'll buy a ticket, it's just like J-Lo, it's just like trying way too hard and over-egging it, that it's like, if you just like sat back and relaxed and then like also embarking on such a pointless mission that was so gimmicky and generic and you know, It's all been said before. then to use it as a fucking marketing tool to sell your tour. And then by the time your tour comes around, it's kind of not looking great. The dance moves are, it's a bit of a shit tour. It's so hard to get people to spend money to come to gigs now. Every famous female artist is on tour to get people to, and it's expensive to go to these concerts.

  • Speaker #0

    So expensive.

  • Speaker #1

So you need to make sure that people are getting their money's worth. I'm like, I know you might be sick, but maybe postpone.

  • Speaker #0

You know, sometimes though that you're just like, look. if you don't have the ideas. Maybe just hold off for a bit. And like, just take it. Like, she doesn't need, she's fine money-wise.

  • Speaker #1

    She was in Vegas.

  • Speaker #0

    Like, she's enough.

  • Speaker #1

Her career is so AI. And it's like,

  • Speaker #0

    She is cyborg energy,

  • Speaker #1

I agree. Yeah. Just because everyone else is. And I do think she had such a, like, remember when she was coming back, maybe this time last year, she was at all the fashion shows. And because she has that stylist, and she's Australian, Tatiana. Her wife is one of the Every Outfit podcast hosts. You know, the Every Outfit is sexy. They're married. but like her style was unbelievable her new body everything was like really cool and edgy and then she goes and fucking tries to mansplain woman's world in that dr luke song and then now you're doing a space trip that was so poorly received when like literally people can't afford eggs and then they're they just embark on this like hour-long ad for blue origin you know and then you do this tour that's i just her team must hate her they must be fucking pranking her because who would advise her and oldest.

  • Speaker #0

But just like, do you remember on Call Her Daddy when she was talking about all the therapy and stuff of her in Orlando, like what they do and stuff? I think they're just on a different...

  • Speaker #1

    Orbit.

  • Speaker #0

Orbit, quite literally, yeah. Also, if someone, if you had a team around you being like, oh my God, this is so cool. You are amazing, blah, blah, blah. Like, you will end up thinking it.

  • Speaker #1

    Yeah, you will. Osmosis.

  • Speaker #0

    Yeah.

  • Speaker #1

How do you really come back from this? Like, the tour would really want it. They'd want to change it. I don't know how easy that is, but... It's just got a real JLo energy. Remember when JLo did her movie and then the tour and then she over-egged her and Ben.

  • Speaker #0

I must watch that again, actually, that documentary. That was really good. That'd be a really good bank holiday watch.

  • Speaker #1

    There you go.

  • Speaker #0

    We've several in May.

  • Speaker #1

From one child star to another.

  • Speaker #0

I listened to Candice Owens. He's a very polarizing figure in the media. She has some strange things that she kind of rallies for, but she gets very into conspiracies, triple, quadruple what you do.

  • Speaker #1

    To the nth degree.

  • Speaker #0

Square root of 56. But this thing she was saying made sense and it was about Justin Bieber. So she said on her final episode, which I think was just a few days ago before she goes on maternity leave. She's like, let's talk about what's going on with Justin Bieber. And there's all these photos of him getting really irritated with photographers and, you know, really cranky. And like, he looks like he's out of it, blah, blah, blah. But what she's actually saying is this whole thing is down to his relationship with Scooter Braun. So him and Scooter Braun parted ways. He unfollowed Scooter Braun, which was a big deal. And then all of Scooter Braun's other clients parted ways as well in over 2023.

  • Speaker #1

    Yes.

  • Speaker #0

So like Ariana Grande, who I think people felt like he had something over her. Demi Lovato, David Guetta, Black Eyed Peas, Carly Rae Jepsen, and then Justin Bieber. And then he unfollowed him, which, you know, there is obviously something there. But apparently what's happening is there was some article that he's in loads of debt. And the debt is from that tour that he pulled out of. Do you remember when he got that?

  • Speaker #1

    Something, his face froze.

  • Speaker #0

    His eye and stuff.

  • Speaker #1

    Yeah.

  • Speaker #0

Yeah, his face froze. So he pulled out of his tour because of that. And they gave him like something like a $40 million advance. And he then sold the rights to his songs for $20 million. But I think he's still in $20 million debt. And anyway, there was this whole thing, basically, that a former employee said that Justin Bieber is in a load of debt. And that's what's going on with him. And then his team came out being like, that's clickbait stupidity. And the person who said that is just like disgruntled that they don't work with me anymore. And then, yeah, they gave him a $40 million advance. And she's, Candice Owens is basically saying all these things with the paparazzi of him coming out of his house and all this kind of stuff. And he looks disheveled and angry and stuff. That's all organized by execs kind of thing and potentially like Scooter Braun energy to try and get him basically being like fall in line or this will just keep happening to you. Like kind of what they did with Britney Spears.

  • Speaker #1

    Yeah, make them go crazy.

  • Speaker #0

Yeah, they were like, if you look at this video, it's outside his like residential home. And he was like. People don't photograph with stuff like that anymore, like those big cameras and stuff. It's like it's normally phones. And then the guy on with her was like, if you look at the guys as well, they don't look like what paparazzi normally look like. So they're saying it's all this stage stuff to be like fall in line or this is just going to keep happening, like to try and make him go insane, basically. And that's what's going on at the moment.

  • Speaker #1

Yeah, it's pretty crazy. It's interesting how they use the paparazzi to stress people out, to control them. And then... What they were saying later on in the podcast was all about like Sigmund Freud invented, who invented like psychology. Oh,

  • Speaker #0

she really went in on the Sigmund Freud thing. I had to stop listening then.

  • Speaker #1

Yeah. And then he basically invented gaslighting. So if you want to control people, you just tell them that they're crazy. So they're trying to make Justin look crazy so that they can control him. So by harassing him with the paparazzi.

  • Speaker #0

And almost like get access to his estate, like kind of what they did with Britney Spears.

  • Speaker #1

    Yeah.

  • Speaker #0

She talks about Prince and... how his career changed and Michael Jackson the Prince stuff's really scary it was something to do with like the music rights and because and they were like you do this you know we own you basically and he was like that's why he changed his name to a symbol because he was like I own that then yeah because it's something to do with like the publishing

  • Speaker #1

Courtney Love told Candice Owens that it was like the publishing oh yeah and then they're talking about the mafia in Hollywood yeah it's very dark it's some of the stuff I must say I was listening to it today it is like and I don't get me wrong I love a tinfoil hat but you love a tinfoil hat but her hat's like super big

  • Speaker #0

I have like say a homemade tinfoil hat like DIY style her one just like a light covering a single layer yeah totally with just like a bit of binding at the sides so it doesn't fall off hers is you know the wardrobe in Beauty and the Beast yeah the big armoire that's what she has I understand for well yes

  • Speaker #1

the stuff she says about Blake Lively there's loads of stuff going in on it because sometimes it did get very dark and it was like not dark but like there was parts that were saying I had to turn it off yeah there's bits that it's just like so like Russell Brand anti-media and like they were basically being like we're all being educated the wrong way and if you have a college degree it's a waste of money and all this it's some bits and like they're reading off like facts but it's from Wikipedia it's just a bit like oh, OK, this is true then. You know, some of it is like, they sound like they're in authority, but then actually it's like, and they're like, the experts aren't the experts. They're being controlled by other people. It's like, who?

  • Speaker #0

    Yeah, it was very that.

  • Speaker #1

Well, I disagree with her on such a fundamental level. And I think her views and the narrative that she pushes is wrong and kind of scary. And like all that stuff she's saying about Macron's wife. And I like hearing her celebrity takes because I think it is important, like, okay, just because she has seriously right-wing views, it is important, though, to, like, hear the other side and then make your own take on it rather than just going, no, I don't want to hear it. Totally.

  • Speaker #0

I do think she probably should say allegedly every now and again, though. Yeah,

  • Speaker #1

    yeah,

  • Speaker #0

yeah. Like, the way she's talking, I'm like...

  • Speaker #1

Yeah, I don't know. You must have some good lawyers. How she lures me in is with the celebrity takes, like the Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively stuff she did a while ago, being like, you know... Ryan Reynolds is the one fueling this court case, not Blake. No,

  • Speaker #0

    that was very interesting.

  • Speaker #1

And this Justin thing, how the opposition or the Hollywood mafia uses paparazzi to gain control. I would definitely be open to that kind of stuff. So in that episode, though, they talked about Scooter Braun did some deal with Justin's music and sold him basically to this K-pop, another music mafia.

  • Speaker #0

I actually thought you were going to say K-pop.

  • Speaker #1

Yeah. called Hive this music that's what he's still Meg Zakk on now yes he's on the board of it and they sold Justin Bieber to that for a billion dollars but now Justin is in this 40 million dollar debt and then that's what he's like secretly trying to sort out because he thought he had insurance because he had to cancel the tour yeah how is the insurance not covered maybe just it didn't have the cover that's where it got hit like three times it was like yeah

  • Speaker #0

It was delayed from COVID. Then, I think then the facial thing that he got. And then I think he dropped out at the end of it or something. But it was obviously because... Oh, sorry, not obviously. But maybe it's just because your man's here to bronze an ass off.

  • Speaker #1

Yeah, he really doesn't seem like a nice guy.

  • Speaker #0

Do you remember him with all the Taylor Swift's music? Like, all that was very ugly.

  • Speaker #1

Very ugly. He seems like... But it seems like he's moving away from the management stuff now. Be it because all his clients have left him or that... He wants to get into more like executive roles. Like I often see him as an executive producer on TV shows and stuff like that.

  • Speaker #0

So he seems extremely powerful. It's kind of scary.

  • Speaker #1

Yeah. I'm glad people are standing up against him and leaving him though.

  • Speaker #0

Yeah, because he just looks like a normal guy. Then I went into a real hole because there's these three of them. It's Scooter Braun and two other men. And they're in, am I right in saying that Justin's clothing brand is three of them? Drew House or something? Justin Bieber put up a post apparently being like, this is no longer my brand. Like, don't buy it if you want to be. it's nothing it doesn't represent me anymore blah blah blah and they're i think blocking him from starting his own band but one of the guys is an exec and he basically was at a hotel room with this up-and-coming singer and she passed away within the time he left the hotel and checkout time what and it's all very mysterious and there was loads of drugs everywhere yeah and it's one of those guys that's involved i went down a bit of a rabbit hole yesterday is it the guy ryan goes So it's like Bollnoy or something is the second name. Apparently he was cleared of all charges.

  • Speaker #1

Maybe she just overdosed or something.

  • Speaker #0

Still, the people he's hanging out with are scary. Yeah,

  • Speaker #1

    not the best intentions.

  • Speaker #0

    Like, that's all very scary.

  • Speaker #1

Because the other guy, isn't it Ryan Good, who was like maybe a best man for Justin at the wedding? And they were like really long-term friends. And they started the Drew house together. And they haven't spoken in over a year.

  • Speaker #0

    That's really sad.

  • Speaker #1

Yes, you can blame Scooter Braun might be causing this, but then there's also like, I don't, I think that's just one part of the puzzle. I think there's a definitely more to this, Justin.

  • Speaker #0

I do wonder though, there's like videos of him at Coachella when I was doing all this research of him like slumped over, like smoking.

  • Speaker #1

    Yeah.

  • Speaker #0

Like there's people taking videos and like, he's clearly a bit fucked.

  • Speaker #1

    Yeah.

  • Speaker #0

On whatever he's doing. And like, Hayley's there.

  • Speaker #1

    Yeah.

  • Speaker #0

But there's a lot of it. Like, it's not just one evening. Like, there's a lot of this.

  • Speaker #1

Especially on the second weekend, he seemed to get a bit more. You know, there's that video of him and his friend is almost like holding him up.

  • Speaker #0

Is this where he's in the crowd like this?

  • Speaker #1

Yeah. And they're kind of swaying from side to side. And he's no top on. Yeah, yeah.

  • Speaker #0

This is what I'm wondering. I'm like, that to me, I think is quite strange.

  • Speaker #1

Yeah. There was that big Hollywood reporter article that came out that was kind of saying, trying to get to the bottom of what's going on with him. Which his team is totally poo-pooed, but... It's good to, I think Candice did provide a good level of context because there could be this whole undercurrent of like the debt and the being held. Maybe that's why you can't release any more music. You know, you could be caught in all these copyrights. Like Elvis. Yeah, just like Elvis.

  • Speaker #0

It's just like a complete repeat. It's pretty scary. Let's move on from that rather sad topic. You have something to do with Meghan.

  • Speaker #1

Meghan Markle. There's been a bit in the news recently about her because like obviously every time she like flinches, there's like a thousand articles written. She was on a podcast with her friend slash neighbor, Jamie Kern-Lemus podcast. And it's, you know, it's to do with her new podcast, which is all about the female founder, secrets of whatever. She gave Jamie a present. and it was ice cream and jam or something. And it was this big note card. And on the note card it had, what did it say? With compliments, HRH, Duchess of Sussex, Meghan. Sorry, one, these people are neighbours. Why is she addressing herself as her Royal Highness? She obviously wants it as a keepsake. I mean, pretty ironic. But.

  • Speaker #0

    Dearly beloved.

  • Speaker #1

Now, we've spoken about it on the podcast before. They're allowed to keep the Duke and Duchess part of Sussex part of the.

  • Speaker #0

Oh, yes. And we had our lovely listener tell us a bit.

  • Speaker #1

Exactly. But they're not allowed to use H or H. That's where the problem is. That's where people are getting all uppity.

  • Speaker #0

Whenever I hear H or H, I think of Homer being like Henrietta or Hippo.

  • Speaker #1

I'm going to give you the page six claims and then the People magazine. So the truth is probably more towards the People magazine one, but the sources are good. or talking to page six, saying that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry still use their HRH titles, not just privately, page six are told. Even the kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, it is widely known that apparently HRH is on their stationery.

  • Speaker #0

    The kids' stationery?

  • Speaker #1

    Yeah, which is lol.

  • Speaker #0

    Okay.

  • Speaker #1

Anyway, this all came out on the podcast with Jamie Kern Lima that she had had this, like there was a note card with HRH, Meghan the Duchess of Succon. Sussex. Sources are also telling Page Six that Harry and Meghan insist on being called Mom and Sir by staffers and have also used their HRH titles while travelling. This led to a report on the Daily Beast, again, pinch of salt here, that Prince William plans to strip the couple of their HRH titles entirely when he becomes King, with a source saying that he loathes Meghan Markle. When they left in 2020...

  • Speaker #0

The agreement was they couldn't use their HRH titles for commercial use. So fair enough, the Duchess of Sussex. And to be fair, I don't think Madeleine was all too, would be all that wrong to do it because you can't make commercial benefit off it. Like if I was getting real pissed off, you'd be like, you're making so much money. You were in the royal family for two years and then now you're making like millions. Oh,

  • Speaker #1

totally. And like, I'm not even into that. But I think I would do that.

  • Speaker #0

So, yeah, there was one source said, Meghan Markle hates the royal family yet flanks it for personal gain and defies her agreement with the late Queen Elizabeth II to not use her H or H. Now, you may know Jenny Bond. She is a royal correspondent. She's on this morning.

  • Speaker #1

These royal correspondents always make me laugh.

  • Speaker #0

Oh, they're such flag shaggers. It's insane.

  • Speaker #1

    They're like professional... Royal...

  • Speaker #0

    Correspondent...

  • Speaker #1

    Commentary, yeah.

  • Speaker #0

    Yeah,

  • Speaker #1

or like... It's like, what does that mean? You just attend stuff they're at. Yeah,

  • Speaker #0

it's like, or you just are obsessed with them.

  • Speaker #1

Did you give yourself that title?

  • Speaker #0

Yeah. And like, they're all like so pro-Royal and anti-Mec and blah, blah, blah. But she said, and this is where, okay, I've given the kind of salacious, we're going to detangle into the truth now. So Jenny Bond said, for someone who purports, such a royal word, To have struggled so much and been so unhappy as a working member of the royal family and with life in the UK. She sure goes out of her way to exploit her royalness at every turn. I don't think we'll see any formal action from the king, William or the palace. It's really not worth the row and the ill feeling it would cause.

  • Speaker #1

    Yeah.

  • Speaker #0

But I do think it's rather crass and pompous of Meghan.

  • Speaker #1

You know, those things that you're like, I'm going to, it actually causes more.

  • Speaker #0

of an issue then it's worse yeah if I was William I'd be fucking sitting on a cease and desist or whatever legal documents that they could throw over because you can't say you hate the royal family and then it's an oxymoron oxymoron paradox yes oxymoron you can't just go oh I hate it so much and then fucking make your millions off it and be constantly selling it so if they wanted to remove the title so it would be to remove the dukedom would require legislative action through the act of parliament And... There has been discussions about introducing legislation that would grant the monarch or parliamentary committee the power to remove royal titles. Because they're saying, is it actually possible? Could William?

  • Speaker #1

    It's a lot of admin, isn't it?

  • Speaker #0

A lot of admin. So it would be called the removal of titles bill, but it has been enacted into law. But now People magazine understands that although Meghan and Harry do not use their HRH titles for public or commercial ventures, as ever, I'm not so sure. The formal titles remain. And in this case, the note that everyone's going nuts about, the note with the ice cream and Jan to Jamie Fern Lima, that wasn't a business venture. It was given over a year ago, apparently, and it was a private personal gift, not a business move. So she's okay to use it there. I appreciate it's brought out of context because it was a year ago and it was a personal gift.

  • Speaker #1

Yeah, it's an oxymoron. It makes no sense.

  • Speaker #0

So can I read you a quote of what she said about her relationship with Harry? Just to close off this kind of Megan rant. Oh gosh. It's not something, no I won't do the accent, sorry. It's not something to be taken for granted when you have a partner, a spouse, who is just so behind you. H, that man loves me so much. Look what we built. We have a beautiful life. We have two healthy, beautiful children. Then she goes on to make, she started talking about video games. She said, I always think about it like the end of Super Mario Brothers. When you get to the final, the final level, and they go, slay the dragon, save the princess. And I'm like, that's my husband. He's constantly going. He's constantly going to do whatever he can to make sure that our family is safe and protected. And we are uplifted. And still he makes time for date nights. It's the smugness drives me insane. Just say one bad thing. It's so conceited.

  • Speaker #1

Or just be like, oh, I really fancy him. Do you know what I mean? Do we need to hear about that?

  • Speaker #0

It's so... My life is better than your life. H. H is the worst nickname ever. Call him Haz. It's so much better.

  • Speaker #1

It's also way more effort to say H.

  • Speaker #0

Yeah. It is. It's the worst nickname. Especially when it could be Haz. Hazzy. Hazmataz. Haribo. You know, he couldn't be... You could call him something so much cuter. Everything is... Call him Whore. Call him Whore. It's just everything is so contrived and it's so smug. Like... We are perfect. And what's the problem with talking about how perfect your life is, you know, then people start coming for the, start nitpicking at you. it's just sort of boring isn't it yeah it's just it really she really unearthed something in me that reminds me of like being in school and being made to feel that like you're not good enough and girls that are like really it's such a scar wound for me girls

  • Speaker #1

on instagram now when they're like getting married and they have their first baby and stuff and some of them really like from where we're from some of them really it's just really effortless and they're very um humbled by the whole thing and it's just lovely to look at and then there's another set that you're like you photoshopped that baby do you know what i mean like it's just so veneer yeah and it's in your face it's like oh it's toxic it's so toxic and it's just you know just tell us what it's really like i just think i

  • Speaker #0

i thought we were an age now of authenticity and just this we haven't talked about her in a while whoa so it's been building up

  • Speaker #1

There's a few trials going on.

  • Speaker #0

Sorry, the courts are inundated at the moment.

  • Speaker #1

The court of law is an absolute admin centre. There is a bit, but it's not good. It's Daily Mail do the trial podcast, but it's only the first two episodes and they act out what they're saying in mass in court. And they're like, did you not identify as one of the rubbers? Yeah, and it's the Kim Kardashian $10 million jewellery heist. but Once I get more information on it, I think it's going to be more interesting. They're still like introducing the people. It happened in 2016, which is bonkers.

  • Speaker #0

    Yeah, nine years ago.

  • Speaker #1

They're calling the 10 people involved grandpa robbers who range from ages 35 to 78. And some of the accused have also died since the actual event.

  • Speaker #0

    Yeah.

  • Speaker #1

Apparently the courts are stunning. Very different as in the judge has two assistant judges and there's a six member jury. And all but two said they didn't recognize the charges. But I'm dying to hear, like, the proper information. Because, you know, we know, like, she was banged and gagged and thrown in the bath. But all the other bits, I'm dying to hear. And they haven't gotten to them yet. But it's really scary. Like, they all came in dressed as police.

  • Speaker #0

    I know. Really scary.

  • Speaker #1

And then the concierge wasn't nervous at first because he thought they were the police.

  • Speaker #0

It's really scary. Yeah, that's really scary. He's of such trauma.

  • Speaker #1

I know. And left on bicycles. Also, one of the people involved is this, they call him a celebrity fixer. And he collects... like celebrities from the airport smooth them through passport control and then his brother would drive the celebrities to their hotels and around Paris and stuff and that's one of the links that they're saying between where

  • Speaker #0

Kim was and where everyone else was because the bodyguard wasn't with her and stuff so he was always passing on information it was a perfect storm and they didn't even know who she was they were like where is the rapper's wife's room yeah and then so of its time as well that like you know she was flaunting she had that big four million dollar ring and she was like live Snapchatting or Instagramming so people they were able to know where she was all from her Instagram and she knew all the jewellery and like the French hate when people flaunt all their wealth and stuff so you know it was just this perfect storm of like she had no bodyguard she had all the jewellery with her she had told them where she was they were watching her weren't they for years beforehand but didn't one of them one of the robbers write a book about it and it's like how I robbed Kim Kardashian he wrote a thing being like I robbed Kim yeah he's still pleading not guilty

  • Speaker #1

they're very they're really like they're like oh but like you grew up as a thief and he was like no and he's like I've just always been involved in this kind of thing from birth we're doing it like no

  • Speaker #0

I've always been involved but he went missing for the night right and he was the one he was cycling back apparently his like his bike got stuck in like a tram rail so then the jewels fell out all on the road like that's a comedy one of the diamond crosses fell down a gutter then he like picks it all up he goes back to his wife and his wife goes like where were you and he was like oh i was just out and then the next day it's all over the news that she's wrong and the wife goes that was you wasn't it like he's like she doesn't even need to just like that i know that was you oh why do they think i'm a robin why do they think it no it wasn't me they couldn't resell the jewelry apparently because it was too identifiable as her they took it to belgium or something they were spotted in antwerp yeah

  • Speaker #1

Which is like the diamond capsule for us. Not a great city, by the way, if anyone's planning on visiting. I wouldn't bother listening to the first two episodes. There's nothing much in there. But I think the trial will be interesting.

  • Speaker #0

It will be. Yeah, she's saving all her... She's not saying anything until she takes the stand on May 13th. Gazza,

  • Speaker #1

you also have a trial that you've been...

  • Speaker #0

Oh, somebody else is going to trial. What? Is the date that I never thought would come. Fifth of May jury selection for the PDD trial. Sean Combs. He has rejected a plea deal, which is pretty fucking stupid. What happens, I think, with the plea deal is so he goes into court. He says he rejects the claim. The judge understands, like, do you know that? By saying no to this, you acknowledge that you might get a longer sentence. And he said, yes, yes, I do. By offering this plea deal, the reason they did that was it guards against grounds for appeal because it was like you were given an out and you could have taken it. So if the prosecutors didn't offer it, Diddy could give a post-conviction argument that his attorneys didn't effectively represent his interest and therefore he should get a new trial. The line is... defense they are going with now is that I'm a swinger and I was in an open relationship is this was just like the done thing to have these sex parties he wanted to name other people like other celebrities who are at this these parties and the judge said no um because yeah I know but it was like you're you're the only one on trial you're not just on trial for this there's like five counts like of the racketeering money laundering sex trafficking oh my god I'd be so interested to see what that would be So he's rolling the dice on May 5th. The opening statements will be on May 12th. So yeah, the courts are inundated all around the world. Yeah, jury. I don't know how they'll get an even, like a fair jury on this because this has been in the press for so long. And they're asking more crazy questions like, do you watch Law & Order? Apparently loads of lawyers, because they expect a fair and just outcome.

  • Speaker #1

If they watch Law & Order.

  • Speaker #0

    And that's what loads of...

  • Speaker #1

potential jurors get on jury selection in general is very interesting yeah how do they do that when there's been so much coverage because I'm following another murder thing and I'm like how do they find the juror of the Idaho murders

  • Speaker #0

I don't know I don't know how they get the people you just have to get people who like don't watch anything yeah but Diddy's meeting regularly with his legal team and is given a prison issued laptop with no wifi access so he can go through all the documents yeah he's tried to delay it two months

  • Speaker #1

Isn't he allowed loads of phone time and stuff?

  • Speaker #0

The reason he's been denied bail so many times is because of witness intimidation. So there's three women. Apparently Cassie's taking the stand and then three other women, but they're all going to be completely anonymous and you won't know who they are, their names or anything. So they're protected because they don't know. That's really scary. Really scary. And there's one, the prosecution has kind of given clues to what they're going to talk about. One of these witnesses is going to talk about how she was forced to get a medical procedure. And they're like, they're all apparently like ex-girlfriends or like ex-partners. So if they convict him on his most serious charges, he could go to prison for 15 years or even life. But the maximum sentence would be unlikely.

  • Speaker #1

    So he's absolutely terrified.

  • Speaker #0

Yeah, I think he's lost loads of weight. I'm dizzy and looks very different now. I'm very grey.

  • Speaker #1

Oh my God. Also, May 5th is another, another insane date on the other side of the Richter's line. It's going to be the Met Gala.

  • Speaker #0

We have the underbelly of Hollywood and then the glitzy veneer.

  • Speaker #1

And then the over big fad belly. We have the Met Gala coming up, which is one of my favourite events of the year. It's so exciting. All the covers will be coming out just as this is released, basically. And my celebrity crush is a co-chair, Asab Rakhi.

  • Speaker #0

    Yeah. I'm really excited.

  • Speaker #1

And the theme, for anyone who's wishing to know, is superfine tailoring black style. And the dress code is tailored for you.

  • Speaker #0

Can't wait to see that one.

  • Speaker #1

There's going to be loads of women, I'd say, in androgynous suits and bits. Yeah. And dandyism.

  • Speaker #0

I love the word dandyism. I know.

  • Speaker #1

There's a really good video they've done with Vogue and it's all about dandyism.

  • Speaker #0

    Oh, wow.

  • Speaker #1

    A$AP Rocky's so hot.

  • Speaker #0

Oh, God, I really have the hots for him. New crush. Move over, Patrick Schwarzenegger. It's time for A$AP Rocky.

  • Speaker #1

Oh, I've totally gotten over him.

  • Speaker #0

Oh. Yeah, can't wait to see all the outfits.

  • Speaker #1

So that will be out. and

  • Speaker #0

who knows we might drop a special ad yes of fashion correspondence from her royal highnesses ourselves exactly now so that was such a oh my god mega dump why don't we round out the show with little Recko from HRH

  • Speaker #1

Sophie Lyons yes those of you that know me know that I mainly stick to Real Housewives I don't really veer off course unless I have to share the television which I have to but this actually is a good reason to share the television John Hamm, Your Friends and Neighbours. It's on Apple TV. Oh, yeah.

  • Speaker #0

    Is it good?

  • Speaker #1

It's good. There's like, I think there's four episodes up and they drop it once a week, which I love. It's really good. It's like sexy, dark, it's slick, kind of funny. It's basically he is running out of money and he's a millionaire. He needs to figure out how to get money. So he starts going into all his wealthy friends' homes like super nonchalantly and taking little items. and selling it off.

  • Speaker #0

    Bit of a klepto.

  • Speaker #1

Tiny, delicate hands, yeah. Oh. I recommend it. It's really good.

  • Speaker #0

    Okay.

  • Speaker #1

    Yeah, and sexy.

  • Speaker #0

That's not what I thought it was about.

  • Speaker #1

No. And I don't vibe off him, but it's good. Oh,

  • Speaker #0

I'll definitely give that a go.

  • Speaker #1

Yeah, I do. And it's set, like, just outside New York. I think they all work in New York.

  • Speaker #0

    Doodle pips.

we're back baby we are back good morning good afternoon good evening and welcome back to the duo that you've all been missing for the last two weeks the ever beloved and simply belovedly extremely cherished belovedly sophie lyons and clara cavna clara how are you

I think they all work in New York.

we're back baby we are back good morning good afternoon good evening and welcome back to the duo that you've all been missing for the last two weeks the ever beloved and simply belovedly extremely cherished belovedly sophie lyons and clara cavna clara how are you

    Yeah.

    Doodle pips.

we're back baby we are back good morning good afternoon good evening and welcome back to the duo that you've all been missing for the last two weeks the ever beloved and simply belovedly extremely cherished belovedly sophie lyons and clara cavna clara how are you
