Hello Adrien!
- Speaker #1
Hello! It's Adrien.
- Speaker #0
Adrien, sorry. No,
- Speaker #1
that's all right. It's in French. It's Adrien. I am French but my audience is in English so I am a travel content creator on Instagram. I travel the world to show destinations and hotels, restaurants, hidden gems, yeah, around the world and I'm now in Lisboa.
- Speaker #0
Yes, I'm so happy to interview here in Lisboa.
- Speaker #1
Yes, it's quite cool to be here. So my girlfriend is from here. We travel together. She does a lot of content with me. She's from Portugal. I'm actually resident in Portugal. So we come here quite often. And we just did a tour of Portugal, which was amazing. Nice. We did from Faro until Braga and the interior as well was crazy.
- Speaker #0
Okay. The whole summer?
- Speaker #1
No, it was only a few days, like eight days, something like that. And we did a little bit before as well with Rita's mom's car. And so we went to Beja and we went to Sintra and yeah, we did a lot of different places. It's quite cool. Like I'm happy to be here and I can't wait to share all these places on my Instagram.
- Speaker #0
Wonderful. Yeah, you have a quite big account on Instagram. When did you start it?
- Speaker #1
Yeah, so basically I started on another account. I'm a pro skater. So that's why I film on skate most of the time. That explains a lot. That's why. Okay. Yeah, I was having like an audience. from the skaters and I was traveling the world just to do competition. I was at some point top 10 in the world, number ninth exactly. And so I did competition all over the world and that's how I started traveling basically because I'm from the north of France, a little town. I was born in Lille but I lived in between Lille and Dunkirk and so I couldn't travel much like just in France and stuff. But once I discovered that I was like wow. I cannot stop now. It's not possible. So I found a way after skating. I'm still skating, but I found a way after skating to keep on traveling. And that's what I've been doing. But yeah, let's come back to the account.
- Speaker #0
so
- Speaker #1
I had an account about skating only and all the people on this account wanted to see skating but I wanted to show also traveling so I showed some traveling contents like some travel content pictures videos and it was not working and I was like maybe my content is not good so I did like push it and learn how to create good content and I finally got a little bit better in reach but it was not so great in engagement so I was like there is something that is off and then I realized after three years after two years you waited so long the audience was not the right audience so I just switched to a travel account and then you blew up because I already knew how to create the good content because I forced myself for three years to like be good, be consistent, learn everything about it and I was like already working into content creation but a different aspect because for rollerblading for example, I released some DVDs and stuff like that back in the day to promote like sketchups, brands and I also worked in a lot of clubs. Okay. And like famous clubs. like VIP club, big clubs in Germany, in Luxembourg.
- Speaker #0
For skating?
- Speaker #1
No, I was not on skate, just clubs like a disco.
- Speaker #0
Ah, okay.
- Speaker #1
Like nightclubs.
- Speaker #0
Okay, okay.
- Speaker #1
So I was doing their content. So mainly for big occasions like New Year Eves or if they have someone coming in, like a group or...
- Speaker #0
Celebrity.
- Speaker #1
Yeah, celebrity bands, whatever. Okay. It's the worst. working in nightclubs is the worst because people are drunk yeah it's the lights keeps on moving it's really low light so it's the best to learn yeah it's challenging yeah it's the best to learn but then when you are in the moment it's really hard but once you learn that you can you can do whatever yeah and now it's became really easy because i just work with an iphone yeah yeah it's crazy just one iphone and then because i used to have like a big camera big gimbal the one I use in clubs.
- Speaker #0
It was a long time ago.
- Speaker #1
Yeah and then when I started to do the traveling I had a backpack with the photo camera, so many lenses and so on. Just this was like 10-15 kilos. Now I have an iPhone and a small drone and I can travel the world so light. It's changed the world.
- Speaker #0
Crazy. And do you edit all your content on your phone or you use your laptop?
- Speaker #1
I started with on the laptop. and then I switch to the phone as well because then I only have my phone I don't have a laptop as well yeah Rita still carries her laptop but it's mostly to watch movies and stuff while we are working or yeah because we are non-stop travelers we don't have a base so we're traveling non-stop It's quite intense, but yeah, that's why we need sometimes to watch a movie, to relax, even if we don't have a home or a place to really relax.
- Speaker #0
And what are the best things being like a nomad, like you say? And the worst after that.
- Speaker #1
So the best things are definitely meeting new people, business owners, regular people, like different culture, different food. I love food.
- Speaker #0
Me too, I understand.
- Speaker #1
And yeah, that's about it. And not having a routine. So it's always different, which is great. I love that. I don't really like to be always doing the same thing.
- Speaker #0
I understand.
- Speaker #1
It's complicated for me. Yeah. And the worst is probably not really resting. Having some time to fly from different location and have a big time difference. So being jet lag, what else? Yeah, having to work straight up on the go when we arrive. because Usually we work under a three night stay for hotels, three, four nights. It depends on the type of video. Some video can take more time. And yeah, if we don't have a good weather straight up or it's really challenging, we do the script, then we start shooting the day after. And then if something is not correct, we can reshoot the day after and then finally enjoy a little bit because normally it's. A collaboration is to enjoy. A lot of content creators don't because they want to get there. And I understand they accept one night stay or two nights stay, but you can't really work on the one night stay or two nights stay. It's really complicated. You just work for free, basically, for the hotel.
- Speaker #0
Yeah, most of the time you go three nights, three or four nights, it depends. And you create so because you have your own account. And we were it's crazy because just before the podcast, I had another guest who just... told us, ah it's crazy I've been to this hotel thanks to you.
- Speaker #1
Ah yeah,
- Speaker #0
yeah,
- Speaker #1
just right now.
- Speaker #0
Yeah, so you create the content on your account that brings guests, customers to the hotels, but also do you create content on top of it for the hotels?
- Speaker #1
Yeah, so it will depend on the contract. So we can do exclusively for the content for the hotel, that's what we're going to do now in Morocco for example for Salut Maroc. which is a hotel in Essaouira.
- Speaker #0
Ah yes, I know the name.
- Speaker #1
We create the content for them and then they post and they do whatever with the content. Okay. But it's all prepared with the song, with like even the carousels, everything is really just ready to click and post. Wonderful. Yeah. Otherwise we do like collaboration where we showcase the place. So it can be a paid collaboration or an exchange if we really want to go to this place and we contact them, we can say, okay, we stay for three nights in full board. with transfers and we deliver one reel on my account, one reel on my girlfriend's account, repeat it and a few stories. But it brings a lot of visibility for sure. For them. But it's complicated to show an ROI, the return on investment, because it's a lot of visibility, but you never know when people will book. They didn't save the post and book in three years. So it's like kind of poker for the business owners it's where it's hard to talk with them and explain that because for them they really want yeah return on investment right now yeah the proof that it will be it will it will bring customers yeah and we see it all the time like uh when we go to salma hawk there's always some people saying i'm here because of you ah nice so they and they tell we did a few hotels because of you before also and even rita someone told her like ah I've done all the hotels you've been to, like in Morocco, all around. Yeah, that's it. And we see it. So we know that it's there. But to explain or to showcase this, it's hard.
- Speaker #0
Yeah. And even here, like I said, the girl just right before you, this interview, she told directly, ah, it's thanks to you, Rita.
- Speaker #1
We went to this hotel in Porto, the Pestana.
- Speaker #0
And do you think? You still need to convince people in that industry? Yes,
- Speaker #1
because a lot of people don't understand how Instagram works. And also a lot of people that have fake accounts, fake followers, fake engagements. So it's hard for business owners to see what's good, what's not good, and how to take someone. Like, is it because of the likes? Is it because they are with a good audience? Or is it because they create something beautiful? but it might not work but it's good for our and also the format and everything it's so complicated for them to understand i want to do like courses just for business owners to understand instagram and how to work with instagram and how to work with content creators because It's the future and they need it right now for sure. Every business owners need content creation, but most of them, they ask like agencies and agencies, they just take the money and they don't do much. I can see that they post three times a week, which is not enough. Usually photos and it's static. It's not in movement. There is nothing like really sometimes it's even the wrong format. So many mistakes, it's crazy.
- Speaker #0
So you want to teach them how to do it. Yeah,
- Speaker #1
I would like to help them because I see that they are in a position that it's not comfortable. Like they want to do, they have a budget, but they don't know what to do. And even with the right people, they are scared. Yeah,
- Speaker #0
yeah, yeah. But it's a good thing. So that's your next project? Yeah, I think that's where I'm going.
- Speaker #1
Not fully. I am working on it. I've done already like some coaching, some group. of classes where I showcase how it works, like how they should work, how they can get more visibility with their content, are they doing mistakes already or not, and where they should go.
- Speaker #0
And what are the top three advice you would give to somebody who wants to start or boost Instagram account, either if it's travel or something else?
- Speaker #1
Okay, so that's a good one. I would say that they need to keep consistency. And by that, I'm not saying that you need to post every day, but at least if you start posting every week and then you stop for months, that won't work. So you need to have something sustainable. And if you know how much you can do and don't force yourself too much at the beginning because you're not going to be sustaining in the long term. Yeah, that's the first advice. That's really like...
- Speaker #0
Start small but consistent and then increase. Yeah. So you today, for example, you post every day?
- Speaker #1
No, I... post less than i used to because i grew already okay but in the past yeah to grow yeah to grow i was posting every day and maybe twice a day or so or i never did twice a day but i know a lot of accounts that can post even five times a day and they grow a lot but the problem is that after your reach goes down because people are fed up yeah the same things now the algorithm is a bit different so they give the chance to smaller account which is really good so don't hesitate to start now it's a good moment for it and they'll give lower views to big accounts which challenges you and then we have a lower engagement so it's good in a way and it's not so good for us as well we build an account for long term and then we don't have this visibility anymore i can't complain i have a lot of videos with over a million views but But when it doesn't work, it doesn't work. Like it reaches... 20k or something it's what i can do in stories so it's already really nice for brands you promote maybe not for you compared to one million but yeah it used to be better yeah for sure two three times minimum what i can get now in in a bad day okay yeah so we need to also push get better and have a hook and play the algorithm yeah because there is a lot of things to like the rules Basically, there's rules on Instagram that you need to follow. And once you follow them, yeah, you can go big.
- Speaker #0
And two other advice you would give to people starting?
- Speaker #1
So two other advice is following what Instagram says. So every time there is like a new feature, just try it and try all the features. Go live, post regular posts, post reels. Don't focus on just reels, for example. And use the stories to be really close to your community. I don't do it myself.
- Speaker #0
Soon, after the podcast, yes.
- Speaker #1
If you want to be really authentic and connect with your followers on a human level, stories are really good.
- Speaker #0
Speak with them, like a facecam. Exactly.
- Speaker #1
I don't really do it because I show places and I don't want to show myself.
- Speaker #0
But you could.
- Speaker #1
I could, yeah, but that's not me and what I want to do in the end. And the third advice would be, let's say... If they want to do collaborations, they should start even when they are not so big, but when they know that they are doing good content. Because now, as Instagram gives a chance to everyone, an account with 1,000 followers that create good content can really blow up. And a lot of businesses are looking for small content creators rather than big ones because they are cheaper, they can do an exchange, for example, rather than paying. and maybe get the same result or better. So why not?
- Speaker #0
Okay, thank you very much. And how did you start? You said I started a new account with travel only and it blew up really quickly.
- Speaker #1
Really quickly, yeah. Six months or something, I had already 30, 40k or something like this. And then with time, I went viral many times in a row. And then it went really up, yeah. It goes up and down. Yeah. We're losing followers and gaining followers every day.
- Speaker #0
The cycle of life. Yeah, exactly. And at that time, what did it help you? What content helped you to grow massively? I don't know if you remember.
- Speaker #1
I got a few videos that got over 10 million views. Okay. Yeah. So this type of video definitely bring a lot of people between 10K to 20K in one go.
- Speaker #0
Okay.
- Speaker #1
But then it's... mostly the consistency of having also a lot of other videos that would bring maybe thousand people or even a hundred but if you keep on posting yeah you have more followers of course okay and then when you don't post for a while you lose followers which is normal like now i don't post as often i'm gonna come back because i was on a trip and i didn't have much time and i have a lot of places to post and i need to post so it will come back but now i'm losing followers for example
- Speaker #0
Okay, okay. So do you feel sometimes a bit like, not anxiety, but do you feel some stress about the fact that you can't really disconnect for so long?
- Speaker #1
Yeah, that's something that is complicated. That's why maybe I'm like thinking about going to other platforms as well. But I don't know, maybe some YouTube, but YouTube is the same. Like you need to start having a minimum of followers and then having a minimum of views and then you can have the AdSense to get paid. So it's another process again for a few months, like giving away a lot for free and then you can receive.
- Speaker #0
Yeah.
- Speaker #1
I didn't jump on it yet, but maybe in the future.
- Speaker #0
Not yet.
- Speaker #1
Because Instagram doesn't pay. So that's the main thing, like to stay sustainable. We need to work with brands or work with clients that need content.
- Speaker #0
Yes.
- Speaker #1
So that's what we like the most. I don't really like to promote brands because for example, I don't know, I'm gonna tell three of them, Coca-Cola, Starbucks and McDonald's, for example, I would never work for them. Even if they pay millions of dollars, I will never because I have my reason. I know that like it's not good for the world. All these brands, they are not really good for the world.
- Speaker #0
Yeah, you need to be careful when you work with brands.
- Speaker #1
Yeah, exactly. And so I work with Not a lot of brands. Like I work with brands that I already use their products. Like let's say DJI, for example, the drones. Yeah. They contacted me and I was happy to work with them.
- Speaker #0
The micro also? Mic?
- Speaker #1
Yeah, the microphone and gimbal. So they do that. Insta360 also contacted me, but I didn't work with them because I don't like the 360 cameras. I didn't like the 360 cameras to edit and stuff. It's more work. Now, for example, Apple contacted me.
- Speaker #0
Apple? Yeah. Okay.
- Speaker #1
to post on their social media and I didn't accept the prices but I said if you have opportunities to test the next products why not so they said okay I'm gonna tell the team okay nice so that would be a great one and yeah basically what I use because I don't want to I don't want to promote something I don't use you don't want to be the product yeah and I don't like consuming this people consume already too much Say, okay, go buy this or get my code. And it's not my thing.
- Speaker #0
But maybe if it's a cap, the brand,
- Speaker #1
why not? Or like something that I appreciate,
- Speaker #0
like it's your moment.
- Speaker #1
Sustainable clothing. Yeah, sure.
- Speaker #0
Okay. Amazing. And did you face some challenges since you started?
- Speaker #1
You always face challenges.
- Speaker #0
And if you want to share one or two with us.
- Speaker #1
Yeah, I don't know. Lately, I was saying we did a collaboration with a van around Portugal, and it was an electric van. And when they gave us the van, it was only 40% battery at the beginning, and we had a full plan of going there the whole trip. And it was already complicated for us to do the first day and get to the second day. That was already planned in advance. And then we had a collaboration in Lisbon, planned for just after. So we couldn't just get delayed, it was not possible. So that kind of stuff, yeah, it's a bit stressful. And then the autonomy of the van was only 300 kilometers. And when you give it with 40%, it's like 100 or something like this. And then you need to hide.
- Speaker #0
You found other places on the road?
- Speaker #1
Yeah, we managed, but it was complicated. Like one of the stops was a place really remote on top of a mountain. And there was nothing around to charge. It was really complicated. We found one. So we were lucky. And we got there with almost nothing on the battery. We were really stressing. And the stress, yeah, the stress went really up when we were there. And we start seeing, so it was night. We start seeing the sky red. Because there was fire all around us. And we were like, whoa, we cannot stay here. There's fire everywhere. There's fires like three different spots on us. And we need to charge.
- Speaker #0
Yeah. Where to go. Yeah.
- Speaker #1
So we had to charge and sleep there. And yeah, that was really like crazy.
- Speaker #0
You're still alive. Fortunately.
- Speaker #1
We didn't share that, for example, on social media. No. Maybe something that would work. We shared that we were surrounded by fires. Like we showed a little bit. during the day but with the night we didn't share it yeah so you face challenges on the road but it's more linked to the yeah that kind of operational i would say yeah i think it's like stuff that you can't really plan like you you can plan whatever you want for you but anything that is not related to you like them giving us the van and having a problem because the people right before had trouble with one of the wheel or something. It's not possible to control this. Of course, when you travel non-stop, there is more of it. Yeah, there is more of it. And it's sometimes really challenging, but we always manage.
- Speaker #0
Yeah, thanks to the mindset. I guess you have built your mindset for so long.
- Speaker #1
Yeah, it's been just with Rita. Without her home, it's been four years and a half that we travel non-stop.
- Speaker #0
So yeah,
- Speaker #1
we get to it. And I was traveling also before for skating, like all over the world. From Australia to China to America and not speaking the language sometimes. Like I went in Moscow, I was by myself and all I knew it was I'm on the blue lane for the metro. Okay. And I end up in another lane because there was two blue lanes.
- Speaker #0
Oh no.
- Speaker #1
And it was so challenging to speak with someone and find the other lane and that was crazy. This kind of stuff, yeah, it happens. Like I was in Korea and I was at the restaurant and all the menu is in Korean. All the people were talking in Korean and I couldn't do anything. I just showed what someone was eating and it happened that it was really spicy. I couldn't eat it.
- Speaker #0
Oh yeah, you couldn't know.
- Speaker #1
Yeah, so it's, yeah, you have a bit of challenge, but it's part of the thing and then stories you will tell later on.
- Speaker #0
So it's cool. Yeah, you always face challenges, but in the end you just make your life with it. And it's part of the journey, of the adventure. Like you said, you don't like routine. Yeah, exactly.
- Speaker #1
That's totally different. That's quite the opposite. It's challenging yourself again and again.
- Speaker #0
And Rita was already creating content when you both met?
- Speaker #1
So yeah, Rita was creating content for a shop. So she was working in a shop and the owner said, ah, can you do the social media so you can create a little bit of content for the new products we got in the store and everything like that. It was in London and yeah, she started like this. She had her own account, but I think she had 1,600 followers or something like this when I met her.
- Speaker #0
1,600? Yeah, something like that. At the beginning?
- Speaker #1
Yeah. And she was just posting photos of her vacation and stuff, nothing really serious. But she always liked to create content. She's a creative. She's a fashion designer. She was living in London, working for a store that needed content creation. So, of course, it was easy for her to switch. She's also a graphic designer. So everything helped.
- Speaker #0
Yeah, yeah. So you started and then she followed. and now you create
- Speaker #1
content together yeah together that's nice i started my account travel revision at the same time more or less when we met okay okay yeah before that i was on the other account adrian which is my role-playing account yeah okay amazing and
- Speaker #0
what helped you the most you think during your entrepreneur journey i think it's the people like you that you met alone i like to talk with people that are already
- Speaker #1
performing well in for instagram it was like i was always talking with like bigger accounts and asking them how they got there and all that some would not answer and some would take the time and i'm still friends with a lot of them and yeah it's a cool way to understand more or less the game and how to go from where we are to now and the future Yeah, meeting the people and talking. Don't hesitate to talk with people. It's they open a lot of doors. If you stay on your own, it's a bit more complicated. Like Rita, she's more on her own. She wouldn't go too much to the people. Once it's live, she goes. She likes the people, the people like her a lot. But she wouldn't like contact other girl content creation, like content creator on Instagram. It's not really a thing.
- Speaker #0
Okay, so you just say hello, because I love to do it. For example, for people who don't know how to do, you just say, hey, hello, I love what you do. And then what do you say? What's the best? How did you do to grow your account? Like I asked you.
- Speaker #1
Yeah, maybe not that way, but like saying, I really, yeah, the content you're making, it's great. You got a lot of reach. When did you start it? Yeah, more. How did you get there? More than. So how, why did you get there? Yeah, yeah, yeah. More the way to get there.
- Speaker #0
The whole, yeah of course.
- Speaker #1
And why did you start it and why you keep on doing it? And it comes like, if they are making an income, they will keep on doing.
- Speaker #0
Yeah, sure.
- Speaker #1
It makes sense. So they will come to this, but you don't ask how much you make. You don't ask how many, I don't know how you get that many followers. It's, I don't know, it's not the, it's not really the right way to do it.
- Speaker #0
that's Because I wanted you to say a bit more. Yeah, that's my first episode in English. So that's why also. Okay, thank you very much. And do you consider yourself as a content creator, entrepreneur, or you don't care about the world?
- Speaker #1
It's a bit complicated because even content creator now, it's like not cool, I would say. But there is worse. Sometimes we work with people and they say, ah, you are an influencer.
- Speaker #0
Ah yes, also I didn't mention it.
- Speaker #1
I am not an influencer or they are like, ah you're the blogger. Ah yeah. No, I don't have a blog. So it's a bit complicated. Yeah, I create content, but there is a lot of different type of content creators and a lot of influencers, bloggers. So it's hard for people to understand what we are doing. And I don't know, I don't have a specific word, but I would use content creation because that's what we do with content. Create content either for us or for businesses.
- Speaker #0
And also entrepreneur because you create your dream life.
- Speaker #1
Yeah, of course. Yeah, but somehow, but I don't really see myself as an entrepreneur.
- Speaker #0
But yeah,
- Speaker #1
because it's my lifestyle anyway.
- Speaker #0
Yeah, yeah. Okay.
- Speaker #1
I am also an investor, for example, like, okay, now I invest money in different things. But I still say that I'm a content creator.
- Speaker #0
Okay, nice. And you invest in what kind of companies?
- Speaker #1
I cannot say for the moment. Okay, privacy. No, I invest in companies that will do business soon, but not yet.
- Speaker #0
Okay, like startups or... Not yet.
- Speaker #1
Yeah, I would say like a hotel, just to tell you more or less the style. And crypto as well. I invest in crypto because I am a believer. Not every crypto is good.
- Speaker #0
Did you start at the beginning, in 2005? What's the beginning?
- Speaker #1
I bought some Bitcoin at 15k for example.
- Speaker #0
Okay, okay, okay,
- Speaker #1
okay. It's not the beginning. But yeah, 15K is still good. And I had like Ethereum at 1200, something like this.
- Speaker #0
Okay, yeah, so that's awesome.
- Speaker #1
So this time, no, it's good. But yeah, I also bought a lot of shitcoins.
- Speaker #0
Okay, yeah, but I guess it's the process also. Yeah,
- Speaker #1
exactly, to learn. That's what I like. I like to try and learn. You try, you fail, you start again. And that's how... So life goes on. So I lost some money with all the altcoins.
- Speaker #0
Altcoins.
- Speaker #1
But they are coming back now. They should. But yeah, just with Ethereum and Bitcoin over. So that's good. If you want to invest, just invest in Bitcoin. That's safe.
- Speaker #0
Yeah, yeah, sure. Thank you. What would you say to your younger self, I would say? Some advice?
- Speaker #1
Some advice? I don't know, because I'm pretty happy with the life I got. I never really listened to people. When I was at school, they were like, oh, what do you want to do later on, like in the future? And I was like, I want to be a pro skater. And they were like, that's not a job. I'm like, yeah, some people get money doing it. Oh yeah. How many people in the world? So I start counting. I really took the magazines and all that. I took it seriously as a kid. And I started like writing and I was like, I don't know, maybe there was 30 people, 30 names. Oh, okay. That's great. but how many in France? I'm like, oh, okay. So I took my things again. I came back. I said, okay, there is like 14 or 16. Don't remember the exact number. And then they said, oh, so you see, you can't. I'm like, what? There is 16 people. Why I can't? So yeah, that was like, like this. And my parents also pushing me to do a work, to do work. Oh, but Adrian, you can't just skate. Like you need to work. That's not how it works. That's not life. I'm like yeah there is a living doing this, there is a living doing other than what everybody does and yeah I'm happy that I did it. I don't really have regrets but if I wouldn't do this I'd regret a lot yeah for sure my life like being like working still at Intesport or Decathlon for all day and
- Speaker #0
It was a good job. They let me go. I worked at InterSport, I worked at the club and they let me go on competition even and stuff like that. But after a while I was like, everybody needs to take my shift because I'm going on competition all the time. I don't feel good about it. So I just quit and did skating full time and I went. It did good, not like good money because it's a small sport, but I did decent money doing like. videos, competitions and stuff like that. I didn't have to pay for most of my stuff, like the clothes, the skates, sometimes the travels, the expenses. So yeah,

it's amazing.

So yeah, in the end, I can't really complain about my life. What I would say to someone else is just go for it. If you feel like you have something special in any type of sports or any creative stuff, just go for it. But fully and don't listen to other people. If you start asking other people, they will always put you down. And if they are not in a good position themselves, how can they put you in a good position? So that's why I always surrounded myself with also people that succeed. It's really important. And that's why I told you before, like I spoke with big accounts. I spoke with big content creators in the niche. I met a lot of them. and it's interesting because I see where they were and how they get there. And it's life changing for many people.
- Speaker #1
And how could you explain that you were a child and you found it's amazing that I'm so happy that you follow your dream because that's what I promote with my content creation. I help people to live from their passion. So it's really what you did. You followed your intuition. And yeah, could you explain it maybe to some people? How do you do? Do you take some distance with your family or not? So.

So. As a kid I tried a lot of different sports. I knew that I liked sport and I wanted to try a lot of things. So my parents put me in different things like gymnastic, basketball, handball, football and I quite like it. I wanted to be a football player when I was a really kid because I think it's something that everybody sees like on TV and where... There is money as well for the parents so they feel safe. When I was five I was already playing football and then I went to the school to play football. I was going to be a pro soccer player but then I met my friends that skated and I saw them like going together like it's a individual sport but they're all together all the time and it's it was really cool while I was playing a team sport but it was so individual. oh you're not enough good or you're too good but you keep the ball too long or it was like always like this when you go on skates everybody wants to help everybody wants to host you and i traveled the world like this like people host me in mexico host me in in indonesia in malaysia and why it was so amazing and when you have this community you feel like okay that's something different than just like a sport what is this individuality So I switched and I got good at it. So I was like, OK, I want to push it further and be pro. And I did it. I just, OK, I cannot just stay in my town. I need to travel. I need to find some money to go to the competition. I need to meet the right people. And I meet the right people. I need to see the magazines. I went there. So it's a lot of process. And I get it. A lot of people would give up because they have other stuff to do. They think they have other stuff to do or they follow what people say. But if you really feel it inside, it's inside you, you just go for it. It's, I don't know how to explain otherwise.

I know it's not easy to explain, but thank you for what you said. No problem. And today, are you still in contact with your family or those people who were like, no, you can't do that or?
- Speaker #0
I still see my family, but I don't see my dad often. Okay. I see my mom more, my sister a little bit, but it's just more, hi, how are you and stuff. I just show I've been there and it's not really deep conversation about this.
- Speaker #1
You live your life.
- Speaker #0
Yeah, exactly. I don't need any advice. I don't need anything. That's the best way. If you can handle everything yourself, then why would you need confirmation?
- Speaker #1
So the main message of today, the main topic is follow your passion. Don't listen to others.
- Speaker #0
Yeah, it's really important because if I would have listened to just one teacher or One friend or the parents or... I would have stopped so early. Yeah, I would be just in a routine like everyone else and yeah, that's not cool.
- Speaker #1
And what is the thing you are the most proud of? Is it this or is there, if there is something else I would be happy to know.
- Speaker #0
I think that the way I got really proud, it was like having a pro frame, having my name on a product that's sold in sketch shops everywhere in the world. I think that was amazing. That was something, yeah, like an achievement. I was like, wow, I came from Asbuk in between Denkhek and Lille and I got like something with my name on it and it sells worldwide, like from Australia to US. It was amazing.
- Speaker #1
Amazing. Okay. And today, do you have a lot of feedback of people following you?
- Speaker #0
like saying ah i've been there i've been there thank you a lot of people say oh i set this place and i'm gonna go or how is this place because we are planning on going or i've been there because of you and yeah it's also amazing it's it's a good feeling rewarding yeah okay thank you and do you have a mantra to share mantra
- Speaker #1
like a quote a quote or something you keep in mind or like a routine or found out a routine with something that is always with you yeah i don't know i don't really have something like or like a tattoo to remember something i don't know i don't have any tattoos i'd like to ask this question but if you don't have it okay it's just your intuition no i don't have any anything
- Speaker #0
special or any routine or any i know that some people are doing yoga in the morning or special things. and they feel better or meditation and stuff like that. I don't really do that. Sometimes I just relax in a place in nature, but I don't have something special that I follow.
- Speaker #1
