Society conditions women of color, black women, to have a hard exterior. Like nothing can hurt us. It trains to battle the hurt of the world. To ignore our intuition or that little whisper we feel and hear. It teacheas us to be hard as a rock. So hard no one can break into our insides. No one can see us for who we truly are. No one can see our gifts nor our flaws.
