Speaker #0Welcome back to Soul Sisters Sleep Meditations. Hey Soul Sisters, this meditation is inspired by the workings of nature and of the earth. Noticing the earth and the land which holds us and supports us through any and all situations. The earth holds and sees us fully for. who and what we are, and the earth sees us for, how we, how we care for her, how we respect her, how we inhabit her. how we are inspired by her. This meditation is for those of us who need a little more inspiration, a little push. a little encouragement when we don't see it around us. But if we look to the earth, if we look to the outside world, the physical world around us, we can see beauty in it. We can see inspiration in it. And so with this meditation, it's really been inspired by my time in the Joshua Tree in the desert in Southern California. I spent some time there on Such beautiful and sacred landscape that I've never seen before. Cheese that are literally mimic the formation of human bodies lifting their arms up to the sky or feeling low and... Leaning towards the earth, seeking additional support, knowing that even if they fall, they fall on the earth, on a solid ground. Seeing all the rocks, the boulders on top of boulders, literally rocking everywhere. Just seeing how none of these boulders were perfect or none of these boulders were smooth. or had a consistent pattern. None of these boulders had a consistent color across them. They were full of gradient, full of cracks, full of wrinkles and valleys and Craters. just full of, if I was describing a human face, full of imperfections, as we would say or perceive them as. But when I gazed at the rocks, all I saw was beauty in their formations. All I saw was beauty in their complexions. All I saw was beauty and diversity and all these different types of shapes of rocks and boulders. We even saw rocks in the shape of a heart. And it just reminded me of how nature mimics the energy within us too. And how nature serves as a reflection to what we think and perceive about the world around us and about the people around us and about ourselves. So as we enter into this soft meditation allowing ourselves to connect with the earth connect with the land where our ancestors lay connecting with the energy of nature and how nature is forever moving, forever changing, forever evolving, even when it looks like it's staying the same. For example, we recently had a huge earthquake down here, and it's a constant reminder that even the land shifts. Even the land shifts. Even the land changes. Even the land moves. And so, as we evolve, we will continue to change. We will continue to learn new things. We will continue to get new wrinkles and new jagged edges and new wounds, but it's all part of the process. That is a beautiful evolution, not just for our individual selves, but for our collective selves and for our humanity. I believe connecting with nature is connecting with our. humanity, and being reminded that Everything changes and there's no fighting change. Just like seasons come and go. There's no fighting the seasons. Imagine me fighting the earth for wanting to go back to winter. There's no fighting the seasons, only accepting the seasons. And so we can allow ourselves to take this time to connect with the earth. to listen to the earth, listen to what it wants to tell you. And it doesn't have to be the same as what it tells me, but honoring the voice that is this land. That is the trees and the plants that provide us oxygen. That is this land that provides us food and water, the essential necessities of life. Taking this time to honor and to love on. Mother Earth, as she is the creator, she is the holder, the safe space, the container for all these living beings to survive and thrive. We honor the earth and the space that she holds for us. We honor her in the space that she allows us to kneel on and have a safe haven. being grateful for Mother Earth and all the beauty and all the nutrients, all the sustenance that she provides to us in abundance if we just allow her to. allowing ourselves to take a deep breath in as we softly move into our meditation, finding a nice and comfortable place whether that is outside or indoors. finding a place where we can take this time to show some love and and hug mother earth for all that she provides for us allowing ourselves to feel the energy as we sit down or lay down, allowing the energy to, allowing gravity to do the work for us, allowing ourselves and allowing our bodies to ground down into the earth. Feeling the comfort as our legs, our back, our shoulders, and our heads, and our arms. Feeling as it grounds down into the earth. Perhaps allowing yourself to take this time to lay on your stomach. Allowing yourself to spread your arms out as though we are hugging the land. where our ancestors lay, where our ancestors are constantly communicating to us. We just have to take the time to listen, take the time to comprehend. and take the time to follow through allowing ourselves to take a deep inhale in and out. Once again a deep inhale in as we feel the energy, feel the light. Feel the feeling of wholeness and of life as we breathe in oxygen into our lungs. As our lungs and our chest and our belly expand out. So full of life. and allowing ourselves to exhale that energy back out as we exhale the carbon dioxide is released and it's uptaken by the plants and the green all around us When you see how this is a perfect cycle, a perfect balance of harmony just given to us from nature, you can be assured that the life that you live can also be made. into a harmony. You can create this balance as a balanced life is what This earth is all about the balance of give and take. The balance of love and hate, unfortunately. The balance of scarcity and abundance. It's all a delicate balance. the balance between the good and the bad it's all a part of the cycle of nature It's all a part of a cycle of evolution. We must lose in order to gain. Sometimes we must lose in order to gain. What a beautiful design Mother Earth has provided for us. What a beautiful design Mother Earth gives to us. What a beautiful design if we just follow through. with what nature has to offer. If we accept nature and the system as it is instead of resisting, we can return to a creation mode. where we remember that we are the creators. We are the creators of the life that we want to live. And we can lead into the natural design by Mother Nature. and I wanted to follow through with it. The design of collaboration and partnership, working together as a community. in order to meet and fulfill and manifest our dreams into this reality in the same way that mother earth is a creator we are also creators as well And if we were to just listen to our inner guides, connect to the wisdom of our ancestors that they left behind for us, we can reconnect to our higher purpose, we can reconnect to the mission. we can reconnect to healing, healing on individual and collective levels for all because with these systems in place these hierarchies of power. We are all hurting. Even those at the top are hurting. Even if they don't realize it, their humanity is hurt. Their humanity is damaged. And so... In the same way that we accept nature, we accept the seasons, we accept the changes, we can accept the system and see it as it is. We no longer have to deny. the reality of this messed up system. We know what is really true. We no longer have to try to convince ourselves of what is true. We know the truth. We know what is happening. We understand our conditioning, and we now know that there are actions that we must take. We have power in numbers. We have power in numbers. We must organize. We must find the energy to organize. Because the state of future generations are at stake. We must find a way to organize ourselves. We are the resources. We are the human resources. The system, now that we know. and see it for what it is and accept that the system is designed to keep us divided the systems created by humans are designed to keep us to keep us divided and fighting against each other So we must do. We must do the opposite of that. We must carry out small acts of resistance that grow into big acts of resistance. Just like a kid, when we were young, a lot of our first words were no. We forgot how to say no. We forgot how to say no. They conditioned us to not say no. But you know who said no? Or nah? Rosa Parks said nah. Malcolm X said hell nah. Marcus Garvey said deuces nah. So we have options here. We have options here. And I think the first option for many of us should be to find an organization that aligns with your values. and support them in every way. Bring your skills and support because this is truly a battle of a battle across the generations. This is bigger than just us as the individual. This is bigger than... It's bigger than me. It's bigger than you. It's not only about us in this present moment. It's about... The future of us. Imagine we wouldn't be where we are today without the work and the dedication of our ancestors. We need to hold the same energy, an energy of risk takers, energy of go-getters, energy of protection. Actions connected to intuition. Energy of connectedness to our ancestors. Energy of healers. Energy of organizers. Calling on this energy now. Clawing on all these energies now. The time for a change in a revolution is now. In order to protect the earth, the planet. People and animals. The time to connect with your higher purpose. Your higher passions. Granted to you by nature. Your skill set that is so needed by the collective. It's needed now. The change in the creation starts with you. You already have everything you need. From the scars to the wounds. to the smoothness of our complexions. We use these elements as fuel. Fuel to empower. Fuel to create. feel to manifest a future that is better and brighter, more equal, more sustaining for the planet, people, and all living things. O'Shea
