Hi, creative. Welcome to the show. I have such a treat for you today. I am going to be sharing a show that I really love that I've just discovered. It's called The Best Advice Show with Zach Rosen. If you love Unleashed Minisodes, you are going to adore this show. This episode I'm sharing with you today is called Do It Scared. And in this one, he has people from his audience calling in to share their advice, and he narrates it and kind of Riffs off of what they say. It's just so sweet. Zach is so warm. This show is a great reminder that there are weird, delightful, and effective ways to make your life slightly and sometimes profoundly better. Also, if you love that episode I did with Erica Wright about codependency, he interviews her on the show. So check that out. And check out Zach. He puts out two episodes a week. Each episode is short, sweet, packed to the brim with great advice. Again, it's called The Best Advice Show. with Zach Rosen, and you can listen to an episode right now. More info will be in the show notes about how you can subscribe, rate, and review. Enjoy Creative QD.

Hey, it's Zach. This is the Best Advice Show, where each episode I invite on a different guest to give me some advice. Today I have two pieces of advice. from a listener. She called the Best Advice Show hotline, which you should really do if you haven't yet done. Call me anytime, 844-935-BEST, and give me some advice. Any advice. That's what Patricia LZ Tuttle did.

First is that people have more access to more libraries than they think they do. For example, I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area and I live specifically in Oakland. And so, of course, I have an Oakland library card. But as a California resident, I can get a library card at any other public library in California. So I also have a Los Angeles card. I have a Beverly Hills card. I have a San Francisco card and a Berkeley card. And other states have similar things or different systems where it's like in Chicago. or actually the state of Illinois, you can use your local public library card at any other public library in the state of Illinois.

I did not know that. Thank you, Patricia. Here's her other piece of advice, which is something she likes to say, do it scared.

Do it scared. And by that, I mean, stop waiting for that imaginary time when you're not going to be anxious about. making that doctor's appointment or having that conversation, you can be anxious and frightened and scared and do it anyway. You can make that phone call and still have your voice taken. You can cry and still have that conversation. That's okay. And sometimes we wait until that time when we're not scared, and that time never comes, so we never end up doing the thing. Hmm.

I wonder if that's why you haven't called the advice show hotline yet, because you think, oh, I don't know. My advice isn't as good as these other pieces of advice. Who am I to give advice? My voice is going to sound weird. I think you should call me anyways. Do it scared. You won't regret it. It makes my day when I get advice on the hotline. And you're going to help all these listeners expand their lives in really meaningful ways, library-wise, fear-wise. Call me, 844- 844-935-BEST. 844-935-BEST. I want to thank Patricia for calling today. Patricia is a writer, podcaster, and librarian. She hosts her own podcast. It's called Enthusiastic Encouragement and Dubious Advice. And she writes a weekly newsletter of the same name. I put a link to it in the show notes. Thanks for listening.
